Be All Ears Poems | Examples

When Silence Speaks

I’ll be a good listener
If you need me to be
If you want to say nothing
That’s fine with me
When you’re ready to speak
I’ll calm your fears
And if you silently cry
I’ll be all ears
If your troubles get heavy
And weigh you down
I’ll hold your hand
And hear your frown
Your expressions will tell me
You need not say a word
I’m here when you’re ready
Your silence is heard….

ECHOES OF YES OR NO

A yes or no is imperative; you must be all ears,
Guts must be taught to grab both decisions equally,
Sins are made through impetuousness;
Sit tight, think loud, be gentle with your thoughts;
A journey to the right side of your heart; flows through a tunnel of pity,
Stick with your backbone; strip with a sense of genuineness,
Condense all the haze, decisions made crystal clear like glass,
No guilt and no regrets of your past can interrupt the decisions.
Infer from what the response has served to you, take action.
A yes or no is imperative, can save you from being a liability for yourself,
also for others.

Premium Member Cliffs

A wise old man
standing up there,
on the cliffs, thinking
about all his life and mistakes.
Everything he did wrong,
everything he did right.

A sad and honorable man,
feeling blue, wanted to jump
to the dark and cold
waters to disappear forever into the ocean.
I couldn't understand why.
I could not understand
what the problem was with him.
I managed to take him to a tabern.
We had some drink and we talked a lot.

This man was a honorable teacher,
teaching from wrong to right.
His wife squeezed him
to get the best juice from him.
His daughters were abducted by an evil mum,
while he had no chance.

He was standing up on the cliffs,
watching the waves, watching the cold sea,
ready to jump.
I told him to come with me,
I told him, I will be all ears for him to be listened to.
An old teacher, an old man
taught me a lesson.

A young teacher told him another lesson.
We all have to learn, from old and young people.
By the way, he didn't jump in the end.
Now we are friends,
we talk a lot on the cliffs,
watching the sea in its mood.
We have our way.

Here

Here

I will be with you through blood sweat and tears.
I will stick to you like note paper for years and years.
When you need someone to listen to, I will be all ears.
When the end comes and I fade away,
I will never truly leave your side; I will never disappear.

All Airs

In the airy company of certified egotists
at times I'd rather be.

Y'see, they've got this skewed perception
of reality which is okay with me.

Though they say they're the bestest of the best,
they've got a trait I find admirable.

Of pure vanity they're so full, they don't normally
talk about other people.

A minor problem though is they want me to be all ears
to their vainglorious years.

And to brag to them I have no chance, they don't care
about my conquests and romance.

Thus, in the airy company of real egotists
at times I'd rather not be!

I'M Not Here; This Isn'T Happening

If at some point

This made any sense to me

I'd be all ears

Promises I'd keep

To admit the misperceptions

Of my vanity

And my guide would watch me

Give reasons for me to keep moving

Forward on the lit path

Anger standing in my way

We would part like Moses and the Red Sea

And walk through it in balance

And if I think I have this right

To see a light at the end of the tunnel

Is to focus on nothing else
