Whence Harry got to tarry for a Barrymore
Extra curricular activities ,
Extra virgin olive oil
Extra terrestrial cosmology,
saucer you are a foe, metaphor
You are an earl gray without Milk and sugar ,
a cup after an interlocking prayer
A wrinkled skin that tells a lot about a tafsir
And a tiny pillow that will be always mine
telling me to come home and sing a mundane song.
I am oblivious to loose any more
I am neither grievance nor exaltation
I am a tribune that you are Sasha's brother
they check the headline every day
Do you have the funeral teardrops with you?
Mine one was empty as I got them all from you.
The one who knows Rita
The one who knows Glow in the dark
The one who knows Chapter Takathur
The one who knows Alan Kurdi
The one who knows I miss that I never coveted
The one who knows I came to the sky blue , light hearted silt head
Not to have you, but to have me, back!
Today’s blessing comes from John Barrymore
(a famous actor from the stage and screen)
May we be blessed that our regrets
never take the place of our dreams.
Lament the clumsy stumble bum who bungles his debut
By mumbling his monologue and missing every cue.
He wanders freely off his mark and often flubs his lines.
His timing’s unpredictable. His rhythm bumps and grinds.
He hams it up like Barrymore and eats the scenery whole.
His critics shame him endlessly, then eulogize his soul.
But though the humbled imbecile stands slack-jawed center stage,
He’s chosen best supporting actor this post-modern age.
His talents prove sufficient in the arts of song and dance
To stand him for election and provide him with a chance.
So he shall be the candidate his party comes to choose.
No matter how the voting goes, he knows he just can't lose.
Starring Miss Clara Bow
Here's a tidbit you may not know
About the silent screen siren Miss Clara Bow:
All her films were a hit,
What she had was called "It",
And the '20s were lit with Miss Bow in the show.
Then There Was Theda
The vamp Theda Bara was quite a gal
On the screen in her roles as a "femme fatale".
She wore costumes revealing
That were often scene-stealing
But were still quite appealing to male co-stars, et al.
Naughty Nita Naldi
Silent screen star Nita Naldi was an Irish dolly
Who began her career in the Ziegfeld Follies.
She was pursued in films by paramours,
Such as R. Valentino and J. Barrymore,
And finally "talked" on TV in the '50s, by golly.
An anagram of Drew Barrymore
‘Merry Wardrobe’ of this I am sure
But with fortune and fame
Some kids get a daft name
‘Grimes’ baby may get issues galore
X AE A-Xii is his name
It reminds me of a PC game
The poor little mite
Is in the spotlight
His parents can’t have any shame
Grimes and Elon Musk’s baby is called ‘X AE A-Xii’ - pronounced
X Ash A Twelve.

Inside Rules Soccer by James Barrymore
Zag Zag Zoom
I’m moving like a speeding car
There’s not much space
I can’t go far
Zig Zag Zoom
Here I dribble the mini ball
Around the table off the wall
I bounced it off my brother’s butt
I’m driving both my parents nuts
Zig Zag Zoom
My brother chased me up the stairs
I tried to hide behind a chair
Now he’s pinned me to the floor
I wait til he’s gone, then I dribble some more
My Moment of Soredom by James Barrymore
When I play soccer its pure perfection
I fake them out and change direction
I put the ball between his legs
I hear my teammate yell out meg
I’m getting close to their net
The winning goal I’m sure I’ll get
My leg is back to score a goal
But I missed the ball and broke my toe

"Your best Pick Up line" contest by Judy Konos
My boss believed he should be on the stage,
And each morning he’d act out on his rage.
If you’d complain or curse,
It made it that much worse,
Until they hauled him away in a cage.
It's the spooky season
Just before Halloween.
All our favourite horror movies
Are waiting to be seen.
Each night is a fright fest
For those of us who like a scare.
Watch them with the lights out,
That is, if you dare.
There are zombies and psychos,
Werewolves and vampires.
A huge assortment by Stephen King,
Like Drew Barrymore starting fires.
Some are old, in black and white.
Some are newly released.
Some are from other planets.
Some are the walking deceased.
Yes, it's the spooky season
And each channel has it's share
Of our best loved horror movies
To give us all a scare.
