Ink Demon

Free the ink demon in my pen
That wants to rhyme wants to sin
Beauty has no duty to reason or season
It just is and naturally gives it lives

In the moment a babe recognizes face
The second the blue breeze baptizes beach
Why is the world to me a maroon melody
Playing my mind like wind chime 
Or green tree leaves

Bear with me as I learn to grow
To hear the music of the gold soul
One who touches others so deeply 
That we get still maybe even weepy

I hear a high pitch in my head
Is it a glitch alone in my bed
Should be asleep but lie awake 
Hoping to try to write my wrongs away

Just Answer Him

Written in the silence
A thought
Little, like a hope
Melting colors in hues of grace
Through the mind
Over the soul – stirring
Whispers of a prayer

Written in the stillness
A word
Welcomed by poetry
Blameless moments
Erasing the past and comforting
The heart, with a caress
Embrace of light
Raining through the night
A star shines bright

Written in serenity
A sentence
Too old to be called novel
But the thought
Baptizes the dreams
In blazing shades of purple
Lasting lavender and truth
Purposes of the prayer
Pieces of the personality
Lifted up to God’s merciful hand
Praising His eternal gift

Written in the soul
His Son’s love
Falling down in blood stained
Hearts, who believe
Because His light fell across them
Their hearts, souls, breathless
Pieces of their being
His words are scars on hands
Marks that mean we’ve been freed
From the sins that said
We’d always be imprisoned
By the darkness, the dread, the feeling
That intended to end us

Written in silence
His love is forever calling

There is a love that is like no other
Love so alive it colors the life
In light, in fire, in the music of smiles
It is wise, beautiful and warm
Filled with such wonder, like the Son
Who knows that we are His gifts
From a Father who is pure love

There is hope that is vibrant and strong 
Hope that is untainted by worry or strife
It is like laughter, lingering in delight
It fills the heart with kindness, inspiring
Splendor beyond dreams, loveliness
That the Lord brings with His grace

There is faith that is genuine, authentic
Faith that sings of wisdom and understanding
It fills the mind with insight into the soul
Knows the meaning of mercy, blessing and prayer
It baptizes the soul in joy that always knows
He is alive, a light, a fire blazing in the heart
Who knows that His faith rages out of control

There is the One who makes a way for us
Where no way has been known, 
On the path that leads to life with Him 
In a heavenly home… 

Listen to the heart who reveals Jesus to the soul
There you will find a love that only God can bestow

Heat and Rain

African heat
Burning as smoke, brief relief
Come early, before dawn, see egrets
Dawn dew or drizzle baptizes me
Evaporation quickly removes signs of relief
Father God knows all; Africa will rise

He Gave Me a New Life

He gives me the dream
When I can’t see the way
He gives me the heart
When I just can’t seem to pray
He gives me the smile
When every hope has gone
He gives me the courage
When I can’t sing my song

He answers the prayer
That I have failed to pray
The one about being there
When I’m lost in the pain
The one about embracing me
With a kindness that is so warm
The one about filling me
With His everlasting love

He whispers faith into me
Like a breath of light in the dark
He radiates joy through me
When all I see is the storm
He sends His hope through me
When I feel so afraid and alone
He silences the anxiety in me
When the fear falls over my soul

He colors my dreams in peace
Baptizes my wishes in wonder
He fills my mind with new joy
Blesses my soul with His grace
Reminds me that I am His child
The apple of His eye… His prize
I’m the whole reason He died

But, to my delight, He came back to life
Brought me the chance to accept His gift
And find the joy of salvation and peace!

In the Evenings Rain He Reigns Down Forgiveness We Are Forgiven-

In our worst heated scorching heated sin;
In the evening rain;
God washes us with His cooling waters;
God washes us with His cooling waters, cooling waters;
He baptizes us;
Reigns down salvation when we repent of such;
It's all about us;
God wishes that none of us, should perishes
Being baptized and forgiven;
Wets us to keep on living;
In the new Garden, of Eden;
In the evening rain;
We will be washed clean;
We shall be rebirth, born again;
In the evenings rain He reigns down forgiveness we are forgiven

As It Comes

Have you ever felt a southern night?
The warm moonlight baptizes your skin
As you quickly befriend the ground.
Your ears are clasped by the choir
Of sycamores as the breeze runs its
Fingers through your hair.

Your mind grows legs and walks
Away from worry and fear.
To fall asleep would disappoint-
Because no dream can flood your
Body like this soft, southern night.

Water

Gives life
Revives us
Baptizes some
Without fresh water we would not survive

What Is She

She quakes,  She rumbles,
She moves the rivers.
She creates holes down toward Hell.
She tears apart homes 
and families.
She makes the mountains bow down to mother earth.
She baptizes everyone with fire.

Fire

Fire is used by God to burn
Out things in us that would make us turn
From Him-His goodness, His grace, His love
From our assignment that comes from above

Fire is what we go through
When we are being tested and tried
When it seems we more days we that
Smiled less than we cried

Fire tests our faith
Fire gives us strength
Fire baptizes us
Fire anoints us

Fire is also the driving force of Hell
Fire is used to there to torment the ungodly
Fire there is used to torment Satan and his angels
So-choose your fire!!

Soft Light Dark Interior

Morning grace blessed 
Opening of flowers and throats
Sweet tinges of loving awakening 
A hero call heard in the mind of man
Wheels tumbling to reach their spot
Competition, aggression, pushing, phallic 
The soft light caresses all dark interiors 
As metal clangs cement 
As graves are posted and slagged

Deep within the murky interior 
Sea water holds molten organs 
Primordial brine dazzled with nebula 
New growth forever and ever
As intelligent light blesses water with form 
All forms eat one another 
And carry out their inevitable march

Just today, a flimsy lid collapses
Sky is born in the belly 
Honesty baptizes the heart

Flower Garden

She sits among the flowers on the ground.
A young flower amid a bed of thorns.
Genteel on this conspicuous platform,
with flowers gathered closely all around.
She baptizes with water from her hand,
then prunes the withered from this flower stand.
Unity is there among the weeds,
that strengthens fading petals on their stems.
Cultivating roots, distributing seeds,
elegant blossoms for her diadems,
with sweet nectar for all the birds and bees,
luring repasts from ancient recipes.

Bird that sing at night

I imagine and experience you,
When you are not in my presence
My fantasies consist of showering you
With countless amorous treasures
The heavens weep in adoration,
