Heat and Rain

African heat Burning as smoke, brief relief Come early, before dawn, see egrets Dawn dew or drizzle baptizes me Evaporation quickly removes signs of relief Father God knows all; Africa will rise

"Father God knows all; Africa will rise," beautiful, really mystical write. God bless Africa! Here, in Phoenix Az., where I am, we get some toasty days also. I remember one day, riding a motorcycle to work in 123 degree temperature -- the blood seemed actually boiling under my fingernails. I often kid with my wife, saying: honey, if we don't make it to heaven, at least the heat won't be a problem. Blessings my friend!

Paulette C., Mystic Rose; Valsa George -- it is so sad that community, municipal, and Political Leadership focus on Big Business, and ignore infrastructure that will create family businesses where we live (townships, small towns, "farms" - the latter were like Estates where whites "gave many" non-White workers the good life and homes). Some I know got plots free in the last few years, Hallelujah. But they are used for goats, sheep, but little food raising. Shalom, shalom

in 2021-22 i raised two crops of greens, peas, beans, swiss chard, hot peppers ... and one crop of 10-14 butternut squash ... all in a COUNCIL HOUSE WITH tiny, rocky PLOT. it can be done ... i did share with 4-6 families, but my only pumpkin was stolen a Sunday morning, despite a fence. More sharing, LOL!

In the month of March and April, it is blistering heat here. Every year heat waves become stronger. We have to bear the consequences of what we have done to Mother Earth.
