Bankruptcies Poems | Examples

Premium Member Our Lives Rearranged

So many times our lives rearranged
Resilient we are, accustomed to change

  Wars, Revolutions, Coups and Upheavals
Plunder and Pillage and assorted evils

  Recessions, Depressions, Runaway Inflation
Calls for austerity and eating food rations

  Bankruptcies, lay-offs, terminations
Then all of a sudden, rejuvenations

So go with the flow, and just do your best
Give yourself one leg up on the rest

Once again, we feel the suffering, as war spreads
Its poison, to kill and overtake.
While much of the world seeks to separate,
From an aggressor seeking unity through heartache.

The two combatants couldn't be further apart,
When it comes to beliefs & independence to be.
All but guaranteeing a long and bloody conflict,
Where neither really wins, it's just a tragedy.

If modern history has taught us anything, it's that
Regardless of size or armament, the bigger can often fall.
Hence this fact should weigh heavily on those,
Contemplating any attacks against the small.

This reasoning is often validated by the reality, that
The conflict really is about the need for resources.
And that the many battles to be fought, tend to
Be reinforced by those mighty air forces.

Yet we've seen the battlefields change dramatically,
From the ground and skies, to economics & dollars involved.
Where both bullets and bankruptcies can defeat the most
Powerful, leaving the vanquished weakened and dissolved.

There It Goes

There it goes
 sliding down the throws
 of market drop
just when you thought you were on top.

Look at it plunge
 sinking everyone's 401s
and to think the government
 once wanted to invest
 in Wall Street's continual mess.

No worries
 relax don't hurry
all those CEOs and financial gurus
hid their payouts, not in euros.

Millionaires and billionaires
 have neither worry nor cares
with loads of currency to spare
and you in your beleaguered funds
 fall low and lower expunged.

It's okay, we've seen it all before
 foreclosures, bankruptcies for the poor
there always tents and boxes for the homeless core
what's a few unnoticed more
the rich can easily close their doors.

it is not 'because'
i hate them...that matters...most
of all it's my love

for concrete and steel
erections that fueled my wealth
and my bankruptcies

the world's dangerous
not me...i am in charge...and
what i want you want

Would You Still Love Me

Would you still love me if you found out I was really thirty-five not twenty-five
I'm not single but have other wives in other states
The father of two, no wait, three
And I'm not a chiropractor but work at the auto mart

Would you still love me if you found out there is an open warrant for my arrest
Have pending judgments and three bankruptcies
A credit card balance of one hundred thousand
And bad guys from Vegas are looking for me

Would you still love me if you found out your diamond is a Zirconium
Your car is my cousin Freddy's
We are squatting in this condo
And I don't have a bank balance

Would you still love me If you found out I said your mother was a witch
I fired shots your brother
I hate your cat
And have life insurance forms for you to sign

Modern English Most

Modern English Most

Do use modern English most these days
If poems wanted to receive much praise
So of the game what must be the quirk?
Answer is Poetry Soup having a network.

Another secret will surely want to share
Two identical things are a perfect pair
Both flow together on natural course
And at same time each other reinforce.

When joined they are steady and sure
And at same Trump they can endure
Being ahead and not falling behind
Those two together blow your mind.

Sure and certain successful will be in end
Absolutely knowing what they do intend
Preside as perfect pair in White House soon
Not Trump who is a goon and a baboon.

Trump does have has Twitty Bird lips
And his hair in wax he always dips.
With color orange hair will adorn
Way it was when he had been born.

This was meant to match with all of his
child like behaviour. Can you imagine him
Eleven hours before the Benghazi committee
explaining all of his bankruptcies and lies.
The Benghazi attack was Three PM EDT
Eastern Daylight Time not Three AM.
Hillary was wide awake. It was Trump
who was taking his afternoon nap.

Think about it.
