When he said

The gelatintion of used
 and fry grease waste.
fry your catfish in me
fry your chickens bay-bay
them potatoes fry crisped and all
grease slatting on the wall
shrimps and zuchinni too
baking soda doughnut
fried up too
then when it starts to stink
and the porkchops come out pink
sprinkle in the soldifier hardener
and that old grease
is ready for the trash can
when the potaos won't clear it up
sprinkle the powda and solidfy it up
and dump the grease out there

Fix your lips

The Early Years

She is to entertain 20 people
I fried up 20 cucumbers
5 lbs. Of okra
In a grit and Parmesan cheese
And bits of bacon in the batter
Some spices, mace, cayenne , paprika
Garlic and onion powder in the
Bater*w/flour and eggs baking soda*
I roasted a teriyaki style pork loin
And sliced it thin with commercial
Mixer, I mean the slicer
A creamy sauce to top it
With vinager , jalapeno, lime
Cream cheese and sour cream
With a touch of fish stock and a
Drop or two of gin, extra dry honey!

Fixed some cheesy grits
Fried some green tomatoes
Steamed some shrimp
And made crab balls
And a pot of
Hollindise
With lime and tequila
and cayenne, Sweet Missie
Slap my ass!

Strawberry shortcake
With
A rummy strawberry sauce
Whipped cream
And vanilla ice cream

Ya'll that's ah party!
Slurp the white zinfendell
And tug at your drawels
She got to take
Notice of this
Mans efforts!
Biscuits sweet like cookies
Dix's wanna pound sum
P*ssie!
I"it'ss s ah love thang! "

Banana Bread

When life gives you lemons

You make lemonade

I am a banana

A beaten and bruised banana

Too ugly to sit on the marble countertop in the kitchen

Wouldn’t want the house to look poor and unkept, right?

The good news is that there are layers to the banana

The bad news is that when you peel the unappealing-looking exterior, a mushy interior meets your eye

Too soft to enjoy without leaving a bad taste in your mouth

When life gives you a banana like this

You make banana bread

I am a banana

I can’t make banana bread because I am a mere ingredient in the delicious pastry

I am the unwanted ingredient that can magically turn useful by the powers of others

I need flour to hold me together and keep me from going all over the place

I need sugar to make my softness appear sweet to others

I need baking soda to help me rise and grow out of my imperfections

And I need someone willing to put in the effort to make me into tasty banana bread

Damn, I want some banana bread right now

Who’s cookin’?

Homeostasis

As white as the driven snow.
Coming back from a lot.
Chosen to be around.
Bubbly baking soda, region of snow.

Playgirl bunny, lil playboy star.
Than again too much confetti.
Black lives matter to the confederates.
Bedazzled diamond cut.
Coma snow white and the lover in you.

Gangsta's paradise Chicago Chicago.
Eat your wheaties.
Good and plenty with rice cakes.

Sparked them didn't you?
Full of wisdom and enigma.
Checkerboard chess pieces.
Quick, quick, quickly switch up chuck.
In a strategic state of mind.

Premium MemberFamily Function

Does politeness in your family well up like
a seed in jagged rocks in the tundra night?
Do manners brew in the black cauldron
with garlic, onions and eye of newt?
Does your family season its conversation with
gallons of salt, while forgetting to add sugar?
Would you rather season your conversation
with extra hot ghost pepper sauce?
Does your family function like a Mentos
that has been stuck inside a bottle full of Coke?
Or maybe your family function is like
vinegar and baking soda mixed in a blender?
If that is your family welcome to broken,
welcome to the ashes, and the dawning of a traumatic normal.

Premium MemberSecret Ingredient

The secret for great flavor
in a baked cherry pie
Add a little almond extract
for the taste that will happily surprise

For dull tasteless vegetables
like cabbage and green beans
Add a little bacon grease
watch the kids lick their plate clean

For tender succulent beef
every Chinese chef knows
Mix the beef with baking soda
become a stir fry hero

Sauces to bland slow down
simmer that sauce for a taste profound
Slow and easy a little sugar will do
cook extra for second helpings too

Need some flavor oomph
in meats gravies and stews
A good shake of Worcestershire sauce
your taste buds will woo

Add the old stand by for any plan dishes
pour on the ketchup make it delicious
But the true secret ingredient every cook knows
a little love adds the flavor that makes your kitchen glow.

Where I'M From

Where I'm From

                                   I am from Kentucky,
from the baking soda to the bleach on the shelf,
I am from a land that once belonged to Indians,
a land where bears growl and wolfs howl,
A land that smells like freedom,
I am from a place where mother nature goes wild,
A place where the flowers bloom bright,
a place where the yellow sweet corn grows high,
I'm from a place in the God's house were the good load is strongest,
From a place of mothers and fathers living freely,
I'm from a family who works hard and helps others,
from "you don't always get what you what" to "put others before you",
I'm from the heaven above where religion flows strong,
i'm from a room painted white where tears are shed,
i'm from chicken and dumplings to fried green tomatoes
from the stories about Jesus who died on the cross as a sacrifice of all races,
I am from love and wisdom.

Premium MemberBaking Soda Bath Is Pure Heaven

Seven medications and I can spell none of them.
I have thrown sleeping pills and pain reliever into the fray.
For the morphine was not cutting it.
I was in dire pain. Then I took a baking soda bath.

Pure heaven, that bath. Instant relief.
Joe ran out and bought all the baking soda the store had.
He had to rent a truck to bring it in. He is crazy like that
When a loved one like me is as sick as I am.

The truck broke down on the way down the driveway,
But I revved up our magic conveyor belt and we had that baking soda inside
lickety split. It is filling up the kitchen, the hallway, and most of the bathroom.
I have enough room to squeeze into the tub, so all is good.

In the course of time it is only natural;
things react,
with air,
with moisture,
things darken.
(That's just the way things go.)

Time only heals what we leave in the past;
the things we take with us
darken our faces.

I used to be able to see myself in the bowls of the silver spoons,
(my smile widened and greatly exaggerated,)
then in the blades of the knives,
sharp enough to separate meat from bone
to cut things down to size
small enough to manage
small enough to nourish myself with,
but the air and the damp crept into them too,
somehow invaded their royal velvet.

I lay them to rest
six inches deep in a simple solution
of water, aluminum, and baking soda.
Crude.
But, who can afford real solutions?
We make do with salts, and foil, and water from the tap,
watching and waiting for time to turn back.

When Quiet Screams

like vinegar and baking soda combined
daily hustle bustle and grind — in caustic silence —
erodes...

precious time eroded in the rush to clear agendas
rushing to the rhythm of the— tick— tockin’ of time...

engulfed with the toils and responsibilities of life
it all seemingly moving in slow motion...

'til suddenly it becomes sublime
to realize just how much time— has passed
now seemingly moving much too fast...

like motion picture film spinning on a reel
as this arduous journey reaches a place of still...

still quiet —volume so loud —you can hear it scream
with flashes of the past rewinding inside your mind...

revealing —in that slippage of time— often
it was thou— you left behind...

quiet screams —
time to exhale....accept or receive
what has been lost or achieved...

shhhh — listen!— the time is now yours
time to lay to rest — hustle bustle and grind—
time — to relax your mind....

and enjoy —your way—what’s yours...

God’s greatest gift—

time......

Poetry Biscuit

I am the enchanted poetry biscuit
No gravy, no butter, I look so bland
Staring at the fridge, will you risk it?
Sweep me away in your hot hands!

I’m so much more than last night’s pizza pie
Come on now, I dare you, take a bite
A radiant magic awaits inside
To quench the burn; set your soul aright

Whether you nuke me, boil me, or bake me,
I’ll satisfy your cravings the same
And like life, I’m as good as you make me
Let the flour and baking soda set you aflame!

“Poetry Biscuit” was an irresistibly compelling suggestion…

Pineapple

If I told you I nearly fainted today
trying to make my pussy taste sweet for you,

(I'm allergic to pineapple,
         by the way)

and had to toss back a glassfull of baking soda
water to quiet the abdominal creature
spitting y o u are the rosebud
my dew longs to rest upon,

would you think I was crazy?

Funny, self,
she does not know
how aching things rejoice in spillage,
fractures, she says
there is stillness in God.

See Jane pump out love poems
for a lioness gazing at the sun.

See Jane's words fly off with the cranes.

Now,
there is only us,
and the spring.

Another Version of the Latest Casualty

i am leftovers traded for yesterday's scraps
i am in the back of the refrigerator next to the baking soda
i am the mood food dude always treated rude
the body of my recipe has long since developed a tolerance to it all

once upon a time i was famous in your heart
your mind wanted to meet me
your body wanted my autograph
you made me feel confident in ways foreign to both my naked eyes
then i became familiar when the views of my ways became fully clothed
you then put plastic on my existence and put the mere thought of me in storage
when the fresh scent of my love was rediscovered, i was only attractive the transient nightcrawlers
i only had myself to talk to and you would only let me out on the twelfth of never

i am garbage headed for a land filled with the unsung and the unnoticed
i am on top of a pile of many versions of the latest casualty
i am a mash of trash treated like an itchy rash in a mad dash
the ivory of my decomposition has long since developed a tolerance for it all
