Spider's Purse - Attache Case

Survey as artist drafts her masterpiece,
enclosing space invisibly across.
Then single-handedly, she will increase
the center parts to form unseen valise.

stanza taken from my piece, Spider's Purse, written November 17, 2010

Navy and Dishes

Navy and dishes

I had kitchen duty on a fateful day
when the dishwasher exploded with an almighty bang.
just as I reflected on the irony as the only one trained as
a caterer I had to the dishes,
A royal navy is a strange place something to do with ranks
not so much about what you know.
The captain thought we had come under enemy fire and sent
an angry signal to the nearest ship.
Later that day when transferring oil to another ship there was
a collision and we had to go to the nearest dock.
The captain had to take the blame, which is customary in
the navy; he got a job as a marine attache in Paris.
The next in command became the captain, a good man.
As for me, I was left to clean the pots and pans.

Promises of celestial bounds;
Creeping solar darkness abyss;
Gravity attache rainbow messages;
Lunar messinger dimensional blight;
Traveling the speed of light;

??Today I roamed your district
I saw nothing of you in the taverns, valleys, and fight yards
Where has your loose soul drawn you
That looseness that so cuts absolutes

You were my closeness, my attache
I loved you like that
Beyond the the steeps that were your happiness
For I loved you beyond yourself

You were my drowning melody
That sweet thing that kills
I go down loving you
And I stay up loving the feeling of your bittersweetness

That's all I have to say
Dunno where you are, dead or in Jupiter
But if death's taken you
I'll love that death just to go to you.

A Note To My Daughter

From playing with Caterpillar to Butterfly
I'd always be on standby
A little rough around the end
You are everyone's best friend

You're daddy's little girl
My precious precious pearl
Your lovely cheerful smile
Makes everyday worthwhile

From singing to ballet
You'll be entertainment's attache
Your soul is so kind
You are the rarest find

People will be with you
From Cape Town to Timbuktu
But i wont be to far away
When love has just betray.

Premium Member A Nation In Need of You

Despite our stubbornness, your nature retains its calmness
some satisfy their falsehood with incredible tales
folly in full as they argue if you and Satan are males.

Deserving your wrath and condemnation to die
you still didn’t treat us like dust and sand
rather to our weakness and stink you give a helping hand.

In supplication, we download our heart desires
open our eyes lord to look beyond every wish
so that we begin swimming through your blessing like the fish.

You don’t lie, your word is the standard
at will you choose to either open or close
unlike man who talks in poetry and act in prose.

Your motives are the fairest, your plans, the sweetest
staying true to your promises to be our perfect manager
but so often, distractions come with tempting vinegar.

You alone deserve our consecration and dedication
your love holds a multitude of leaves as the tree
but every attache is blessed to be fruitful and free.

Premium Member What Lurks Within

Vestments of yesteryear
dotage's gone vague
zeitgeist's heart
wound up clock like
ticks laboriously
errands run through
veins seasonally
in the plumbing
till they 'fall'
ah, but that's
the cultural attache'
bound by render
on the wall
ghostly meandering
through the mist
the haze
the humidity
makes the window
fog up so that what
lurks within is obscure.

Overcare

OVERCARE
By Catherine DiBuono I read about myself in a chapter of a book last night
I just opened up a page to browse and there I saw my life
OVERCARE, it said, produces chaos and stress
Related to persons or events or just everyday strife
You over-attache and identify too
Not just with empathy but beyond what is due.
My God, I thought, it’s how I live every day
I thought that’s what God wanted,so I did it my way
So here I sit writing under blue sky and sun
Hoping God’s warming rays will show me the way.
God “threw me a brick’, saying open your eyes
What you are doing is OVERCARE and not God prescribed
Shame, resentment, guilt and more
I allowed myself to be engulfed, right down to my core..
My spirit so damaged, panic ten long years gone
Has returned with full force, controlling my fragile mind.
So its Your will, not mine, which I will implore.
Step by step, day by day, using Your strength to endure.
Heal my fear of driving ,get me out past my front door
Ease my mind back together, this I now implore.
For this is my poem and also my prayer
That I balance my life fully, but not OVERCARE.

Premium Member Change Is Inevitable

Dawn debuted stealthily,
as a breeze rustling through cat-tails;
But time, toted in its attache case,
the not-looked for;
Soon circumstances of the day
were screeching like a Red Tailed Hawk
with eyes set on a field mouse.
