winter approaches
snowflakes tumble from the sky-
a sprinkle of white
As brisk breezes scatter leaves around,
Autumn colors confetti the ground.
Winter winds howl through barren branches
blowing off any remaining leaves.
Mother Nature is in transition;
stripping the scenery yet again.
The naked trees are in remission;
till Spring showers, water them with rain,
and green canopies, supplant the plain.

There is rumour..Speculation? that old clause
Has left this station..? And an earthly king is sickening
Is there poision.? Or just nothing? the world stage plays
Seem deserted?? Are their fortunes being introverted?
How about gatesy? Heard of him lately.?? Is scoros on
The way out.?? I'll like to beleive.' I'td be one good shout!
Are they picking off the gallery? Of devils spawn? Could
That be.? Well some are over eighty.' Trudeau won't get
Back again to fifty.' We know death is
Not a maybe.! God (will call in every sinner) for in hell
They'll not be winners.!!

As the evening grew colder,
The skies became darker
As flashes of lightning and peals of thunder
Awoke the sleeping man.
As he stared around in wonder,
The once noisy world had returned to its silence.
As he gazed at the dark clouds,
They slowly paved way for the stars to fill the night sky,
The moon at it's finest shining brightly.
He took a final look at the night sky and thanked nature for it's view.

Winter approaches ~
Maple tree branches are naked,
awaiting gloomy graphite clouds to clothe them with snow
They languish in stoic stasis, deciduous and disrobed until budding in spring

Buzzing of a …..drone?
Are we being invaded?
Punishment deserved for not helping the Ukrainians more?
I hold my breath as I wait.
Fear approaches.

Is everybody ready for that lying little rodent
to crawl out of his hole and predict an early Spring.
It doesn't matter what that liar says.
He's not a meteorologist, he doesn't know a thing.
Groundhogs are the center of attention,
expected to predict the next six weeks.
You might as well just flip a coin
because " he doesn't know of what he speaks".
I think this year we should ignore them.
Find something else to keep us amused.
Pretend you don't care what they predict.
Let their little egos finally get bruised.
I'm tired of these groundhog's promises,
be it Winter or Spring on which we rely.
Every year they make their predictions
and every year they damn well lie.

Running in the grass,
The kitten ran with joyful sass,
Birds flew south, en masse!

12/25, ***As Our Lord Approaches
(Written to pray blessings for my poet friends)
Our O Holy Lord does’t mind what day it is.
See the children skip-dance beside him. Their
Arms and smiles flying into the air in a rising
Melody the Holy Spirit has composed for their
Approach to gathered crowds on this any day
That he comes to stand among us with outstretched
Arms. Do look closer to see the young people in
Revival singing up praises to heaven, with cheering.
Then, sight how the seniors, after lives long on
Trials sway silently, so filled with ecstasy and all
Thanksgivings, it is their tears that sing for their
Exclaiming souls. As words and voices, too, are lost.
Not Christmas or Ester alone surges with our souls,
But these any days rise in Alleluia’s! Our Love, of God,
Like the mountains en masse: bows, melts,
Moved to burst from our cores launched into Grace!

Dark clouds gather
high overhead
bright lightning flashes
deep thunder roars
growing wind does
blow about me here
catching up my clothes
tugging at me
cold hard drops
of rain hits me
bringing quick shills
as I would flee
squall line approaches
with drenching rain
and lightning that
comes crashing down
I look for shelter
where I can be
keeping me safely
from raging storm
trees promise shelter
and call there to me
beneath them lurks the danger
does the lightning does bring
with fear I tremble
and cast about my eyes
seeking for the shelter
to save me from the storm

Fall
Embrace
With decay
Slowly replaced
Youth slipping away
Hanging in a dark mood
This painting misunderstood
Like the touch of a stranger's hand
Suddenly there's a change in the wind

Approaching from the West
on so subtle a breeze,
a storm threatens the air.
Distant thunder resounds.
Might I grow fearful
as a darkening shade is draped
across clear skies I know so well?

welcome to my western age
when gallows are in a rage
it's in the turning of the page
sought through the tears in your eyes
seek the flames of gratitude
sheltered far too in the mood
the thought of a miracle mile
a smile from a lonesome child
getting a bit wild

As the
singularity
draws near,
I look on with
trepidation.
What lies
beyond
i do not know.
I think back
to my youth.
Days in the
backyard
hot summer days
watching the ants
scurry around,
hearing
the birds
signing in the trees.
Feeling the hot
summer breeze
caressing my face.
Just memories
of a simpler
time.
All gone now.
As I'm wrapped in
technology.
Facing a
unknown future
as the
singularity
envelopes.
