I was a student of logic
when the world stopped breathing—
July 20, 1969,
a footprint pressed into silver dust.
Neil Armstrong’s voice crackled,
“one small step…”
and yet, my mind whispered—
was it the Moon,
or a Hollywood stage?
Fifty–six years have burned away,
half a century of miracles and machines.
We send probes beyond Pluto,
yet have not returned
to that pale frontier
just 384,400 kilometers away.
We dive to the edge of oceans,
but never to their blackest trench.
We speak of radiation belts,
Van Allen’s invisible fire—
how did fragile bodies
slip through alive,
wrapped only in cloth and hope?
Pride is America’s anthem.
If the flag had truly bitten lunar soil,
would it not have marched again—
and again—
until a fortress crowned the Moon?
They say budgets broke the dream.
But tell me—
what nation spares the stars
while spilling trillions on war?
The camera rolls.
The world applauds.
The truth drifts somewhere
between silence and space.

Your hands would bleed from endless days,
Scrubbing floors to hide the stains.
Three kids hungry, three kids cold —
You broke yourself to keep us whole.
The cupboards echoed, barely fed,
But somehow we still had a bed.
He drank the money, smashed the walls,
Turned our nights to drunken brawls.
I heard you cry, I heard him yell,
I lived with you inside that hell.
You stood between his fists and me —
A shield I never thought I’d see.
No medals hang, no one applauds,
For nights you faced down all his flaws.
You took the blows so we’d survive,
The quiet war that saved our lives.
We’re grown now, Mum — and we are good,
Just like you prayed we always would.
Your hands still shake from what they’ve known —
But Mum, you never fought alone.

"God did not create darkness. Darkness is the absence of light. He did not create hate. Hate is the absence of love. Darkness and hate therefore, are the absence of God." ~ by poet
Kept apart by time, miles, and circumstance,
their sweet reunion quivers with passion.
Seen distantly across the bridge, they ran.
Teeth, lips, and bodies collide, devouring.
Laughter between kisses, that look of love...
hands caress faces, hair, thumb brushing lips.
Skies break, thunder applauds, and storm clouds weep.
The clean scent of cool rain upon hot skin...
Steam hisses from this idyllic love scene.
Their embrace declares true love without words.

Palms touché in clarity.
God’s touched by intercession.
Lips proofed in sincerity.
Palms touché in clarity.
God applauds your charity.
Be thankful in concession.
Palms touché in clarity.
God’s touched by intercession.

You applause the actor
Her harmonious tone
Her play of words
Her triumphs heard
But do you love the stage after the song
The leftover footprints from where it sang along
Atoning for every step that was missed
Retrieving the dust from her accomplishments
The dust from the skill she used to win
The dirt from the shoes that store talent within
She takes a bow and stifles her breath
For love won’t come if she shows weakness next
But no one applauds the stage after the show
For being there, for laying low
For setting a platform all but their own
The cleaners perceive them as one last chore
The light flicks off, and what is love?
The stage hadn’t known, from being alone
And it will never know, until the lights flick on
And the cleaner applauds it for all it has done

To speak the truth in a world woven with lies is to set yourself on fire like a torch,
Just to prove you were never made of wax melted under absent gazes,
They praise polite silence, mute nods, and false smiles that hide the void,
But they tremble when your words come unfiltered, sharp, soaked in everything they fear,
And they act as if speaking facts is a sin that burns under the light of day.
You offered them honesty, and they returned it cracked, called you cruel for bleeding openly,
In a world that only applauds masks, where every truth shatters into unheard echoes,
Being honest is a heavy task, not just a simple policy, but an effort to remain whole,
And even in democracy, where voices should be free, honesty is viewed as a flaw.
So, if you think telling the truth is simple, oh, no, sir, it's an unwavering mission,
A dance on the sharp edge of society that prefers to hear only what is sweet and soft,
But perhaps, in this fire, courage will be found to burn all masks, to light the way,
To a world where truth is no longer a burden, but a release from the chains of lies.

He only sees reason
In those who sing with him
The same song.
He disagrees with what you say
And does not defend you but applauds
Your right to say stupid WORDS...

both mother and father nurture
their child in his formative years
but though all three live in one home
starkly different are their fears
the breeze, the tree and Mother Earth
take a selfie through cracks in time
yet each applauds its charisma
feeling within, a unique chime
that we be as He, God shapes us
soul eternal, awash with light
which when distanced from source becomes
a feeble form crouching in fright
subject, object and the force field
each imprint their footprints in space
which is the eternal witness
of dance of release and embrace
which attribute to us is dear
choose from love, wisdom and power
melding with the void, feel complete
with God’s grace that doth empower

Flawed is my resolve
Blurred is my focus
In spite all that I fight off
My insatiety remains my only curse
For you I begin
For you I overcome
As I glare at the abyss that is my sin
Your applauds incites my calm
The newsman, as jarring as ever
His words paint our world into oblivion
Should I never see a light greater
I hope through you I live on

Confined, containerised, caged,
by wayward ego upstaged,
free from dark delusion’s chain,
the Phoenix rises again.
Forged from elements of earth,
spirit yet bubbles in mirth,
recognising life’s a dream,
borne by thoughts it chose to stream.
Caged, confined, containerised,
living light is crystallised
but when desires are released,
heaven applauds; God is pleased.
Freedom’s found in every pause,
since therein soul finds the cause,
within heart as flaming bliss,
sparked by Divine Mother’s kiss.

It's one of those nights
The moon hoards its light
Fireflies taking stage
Lighting life into our gasping breaths.
Stars whispered known secrets
To the cool, quiet breeze
Grass beneath the sheets we lay
Cries for mercy as our act painful.
Our shadows danced softly
On the porch's dark floor
A cricket curiously whistles
To our intense emotions it applauds.
We lay without words
Gazing at the empty sky
Each breath a soft echo,l
Of dreams we would share.
Our hearts intertwined
Under the night's gentle veil
We found silent comfort
In the moonless night's fairy tale.

What's needed to write good poetry
A vivid imagination and flair
General knowledge and a good vocabulary
Much love and you're almost there
A sense of humour is also important
Each is unique as they say
Adding their own personality to verse
Helps stay ahead of the fray
There's no magic potion one can take
Poetry come from within
There's no mistaking it, you'll surely know
When accolades start pouring in
The thrill you get when someone applauds
It's so very hard to describe
Over the moon is one way of putting it
Feel like you've finally arrived
What's really needed to write good poetry
Dedication, dedication, dedication
A burning desire and a passion for writing
A passion without hesitation

I hate being the 'incident' of your story
Hate how you once made my heart beat so fast
Hate how I get a reminder of you
Now we're just strangers that sometimes walk past.
A memory I can't erase
Was getting dull with time
Life was getting back to it's pace
But a trigger by your sight, not my eye's crime.
Applauds to the courage
I didn't feel anything in
Left the road you were taking
Resisting the temptation of a possible sin.
The need of journeying back in time
Where your name stood unknown
As an arrogant, aggressive guy
Was what to me, was shown.
I hate being the one left behind the door
When you were the one knocking it first
Hate the time I spent foolishly
On you, now I just keep eyes on floor.

Essential to our beginning
adorned: how proud
they stand
Lovers in there new
beginning
applauds;
he hold her hand
To care for
to care to
to care because
it's just the
right thing
to do.
It's alot to consider
there's
others involved
it's problematic
hey but you make
the call
aint what you thinking
just pencil it in
the pro's and con's
now where do we began
a denotation of
each action
what routines are concern
is it something
worth saying
or is it something
learned
Darling take your time
pencil it in
ah Kiss starts our evening
a kiss when morning begins
Keep me in mind
I'm involved too
where we are going
and what we'll do
time it down to the second
from beginning to end
a night of romance together
sounds like a plan

The naked truth of hijacked leaves
when tree reveals a mockingbird
the wind with knives— the season’s thieves
applauds the loss of innocence
soprano song his spoken word
as summer turns a villainess
his merriment in verse she steals
to feed the winter’s sinfulness
where hunger flies and cries and kneels
to gods a songster’s soul appeals
the guilty— nylon-stocking blurred
...as ic’cles grieve neath ice-damned eaves
