Premium Member Betrayal In Black And White

The naked truth of hijacked leaves
when tree reveals a mockingbird
the wind with knives— the season’s thieves
applauds the loss of innocence
soprano song his spoken word
as summer turns a villainess

his merriment in verse she steals
to feed the winter’s sinfulness
where hunger flies and cries and kneels
to gods a songster’s soul appeals
the guilty— nylon-stocking blurred
...as ic’cles grieve neath ice-damned eaves

Premium Member Only Fools Think So

Pray for us sinners,
for indeed sinners we are.
In love with our immorality,
wallowing in our faults,
repeating our transgressions.

The world applauds us
in complete agreement
with our fetid fallacies.
We are important only if
we indulge in our heinous,
scandalous and contemptible
affairs of the world.

There's time enough to right
any of our errant and gross sins.
Wealth pours in and all worldly worthy things
that pushes us to indulge
our lust and greed. For think on it,
there's time enough to make amends!

Upon the hill a Man once shed His blood,
even up to the last drop.
Thus did He redeem all men.
But only if they repent.
It is a two way traffic
in our contract for salvation.
So are you sure there's time enough?
Only fools think so.

Premium Member Southend Pier

Pevec in Czech -
a poet in our tongue,
and I see him there, composing.
His poem is about the sea,
and how the crabs are dancing
slowly to its rhythm -
side-going to the end of Southend Pier.

Pevec in Czech -
a poet in our tongue,
and I see him there, composing.
His poem is about his Love,
and how she is dancing
in the evening's cool,
twirling to the end of Southend Pier.

Pevec in Czech
and all his words
cannot describe his feelings...
He gives up, and instead
applauds the dancing...
She hears him not, and with a devilish cry
hurtles to shocked, unready sea.

Premium Member A Feather In the Forest

Leaving my son's house, a rain-burst had just passed.

At the edge of the wood, contrasted against dark clouds,
A single tree stood glowing.

Wet in the sun’s rays, its leaves shimmering in the breeze.
A feather in the forest glowing,
Singly.

Brightly shining yellow green,
A cottonwood applauds the coming of the rains.
Waving glimmering in rain rays, wet enlightening.
Reminding me to dance in the sun.

Woodland Brook

Soft at first, the melody grows louder as I near
The carefree brook skips through the wood
Singing to herself, laughing at her song

Warmed by the sun whose golden fingers
Dance upon the surface, and caress the ripples
She meanders aimlessly, exploring, embracing

I am taken by the silence that surrounds me
No sound save the waters lullaby
Her symphony floating lightly o'er the glen

I bask in the peaceful essence of the moment
Nature, christened in her flowered gown
Applauds the melodic serenade

Premium Member Only If

beautiful lady
holding you
ever so gently
in the softness
of beauty

as the violin plays
touching souls
under a full moon
i dance
with you

silver shadows
dancing a waltz
touching
black velvet

in silken
soft feelings
in loves melody
singing out
in your earthly
beauty

my spirit rises
applauds
in beating wings
the heart
pounds
on the drums

reaching high
hands out
in a flash
of light

i hand you
the moon
flashing stars
wink
delight
in loves
tune

as the sun
kisses the moon
a dancing groom
eclipse
my night

Premium Member Friendship

Friends may not go together.
But friendship is a splendid feel endures forever.
You may toil the whole day.
Sharing a few words with the pal takes your stress away.
Friendship is a treasure
That renews your pleasure.
A friend backs you up in your efforts
And applauds your accomplishments
From the crony’s eyes, tears roll,
Who never accepts your downfall.
A chum can read the untold stories
And find ways to put a check to all your worries
Pray God not for a bounty.
Beg Him to send you a buddy.
Get a friend, who is dearest indeed,
You won’t be in any need.

Premium Member Have Reached My Destination

used to have ambitions
goals
wanted to be a nurse and I did that
was on a mission to be a wife and mother

but life took me down a different path
I always had this natural ability to write
not something that can be taught but born within
and I have the gift and love of dance

and in my dreams and reverie I imagine
myself a world famous writer
poet
and in my fantasy sleep state I am the best
dancer
on the stage as I leap and spin and fly
and the audience applauds
it is really a wonderful dream

my destiny was written
and my family my love and baby (reside in Heaven)
I have no brood of children no parents
(no husband yet)
my life has taken a different path
I have friends who are my tribe and support
and I love them so much for that
they are my kindred spirits

so the purpose of my life is this . . .
to be the best that I can be at whatever I do
and to dwell in peace and tranquility
and I have traveled a journey far and winding
to a place where all is serene
and have at last reached my
destination

she reaches behind the smokescreen

of her sunken eyed curtain veils

films of tears void of translucence

stoke reminiscent ashes that trace

another blinding thick-skinned defeat

hidden by camouflage and smears

touched up campaigns of bravery

her retinas a web of hallucinations

illusion delusion cataracts and dreams

stirred but not entirely shaken as

she reaches for another glass to empty

while numbness mixes with mirages

of victory over hits and misses

on battle lines of reconstruction

a palisade and shield from truth

her sentience slips into severance

from memories epiphanies and falls

from grace as she applauds the circus clown

and crazy court jester she became to be

in sadness badness insanity while

holding on to fragmented shards

screeching on the palette of many

a brush with fate curses and agony

she is a survivor of abuse and violence

exploitation and deliberate transgressions

and reaches deeply into her resolve

to allocate anger to where it belongs

instead of blaming her own kindness

she lifts the olive branch closer

to her tumbler spits out the hemlock

and trusts that tears will dry

once excoriations have dried up

until then she is not the drunkard

she is made out to be by sycophants

and hypocrites who spiked her

drink of life but merely coping

for the moment and longing for solutions

Celebrity

As the car door opens, she steps out.
She is beautiful, beyond all doubt.
Her dress is as elegant as a ballerina’s dance.
All eyes on her, gazing in trance.
Her audience applauds her as she walks by.
She fakes a smile when she wants to cry.
She wants to escape this overwhelming life.
It saddens her that there is always strife.
She greets the others as she walks in.
They give her looks and also grin.
She wonders if they feel the same way.
Maybe on the inside, they are not ok.
Do they feel the pressure to always act out?
Drinking and partying, that’s not what life is about.
How can we be an influence when our morals are gone?
Even though we hurt, we continue to push on.
Sometimes she wishes she could go back to being just her.
The movies and spotlight is not what she deserves.
She feels the need to fulfill everyone’s desire.
It takes control like a consuming fire.
She has grown weary with all the fame.
Life isn’t easy when there is no one else to blame.
The need for a normal life is there.
In the end, all she has is prayer.

Premium Member The Butcher Shop

Mohamed and Khaled
The best butcher shop in town
In the deception of silence
they butcher those with sound

Voices against their Kingdom
they fear and do not like
Raping their women with modern views
while butchering a protesting man

Both Prince, King and pork herder
Vehement denials throughout the land
Yes the color of red, proof of blood in their sand
In the shoes of Aysha, these cowards cant even stand

Intoxicated Salman, butchered an innocent man
as Trump applauds, the free press in a grave
situation... Tyrants kissing and holding hands
A thousand lashes, to the butchers of Riyadh

Prince Mohamed be damned

Click, Tick, Wick and Sick

Like shining stars sparkles a trust with credits
Yet often in media they proclaim about their debts
Public ought to work out its merits
Is there truth at least in tit bits?

When their followers photographs do click
Their social organization receives approval tick
They proclaim about pouring oil on flickering wicks
When other applaud, applaud cries, ‘I am sick.’

Their royal band will play
When its founder steps on the stage to stay
His audience has no other way
For authority applauds none saying ‘nay’

Their photographs pictures the most pitiful cry
Even you’ll shed tears if you give it a try
Between cause and contribution where lies the wry
Beware! Else in social oil pan you will fry

Applaud its value does lose
When with a mask it does pose
It knows to whom it ought to give repose
Applaud decreases when men doth it propose

Premium Member Intellectual Peer Pressure

Intellectual peer pressure

The faces change from smiles to sneers
from effusive praises to contemptible jeers.
A man whose wisdom has been seen for years
now forced to face his prideful peers.

A man whose intellect is simply beyond compare
those who read his works just stop and stare.
How can someone hold their own and debate such a man?
His thoughts and reasoning's are as well laid out plans.

His eloquence, his observations, are without any match
outwitted, his enemies, launch and scheme a hateful attack.
He knows their devotion, to unproven theories, is like a religion
He does not cower as he faces their vitriolic words of derision.

The odds are against him, hundreds to one, but he declares his faith in God!
Silence is deafening for a few moments, then one brave soul applauds.
The crowds turn against the two of them, in a heated hateful rage
Ignorance and prideful enmity, is clearly on display!

Without acknowledging that he might be right, they were both voted out!
But, forevermore in the back of their mind there is that lingering doubt...

Heaven
awaits til our
last waltz amongst the wind,
mimicking that of yesterdays...(Sigh)
Nature applauds as we continue in
harmony; never ceasing til
