A Man and His Word
It's very true, I said it of course,
and I suffer a hint of remorse,
as now, without question,
I have indigestion.
Why did I say, "I could eat a horse"?

Who lives in water, not in air,
and never worries about his hair,
yet is not seen in calm repose,
and will not ever sleep or doze -
because, and while it is not fair,
he can't close his eyes, only stare?
Let's give a rousing shout
for our little friend, the trout!
Here's to Frogs and Fish
I like to give a shout,
for the frog, the toad, the trout,
who, whenever one comes by,
rids the world of another fly.
the owl is wise
the cat is clean
the hound is friendly
a licking machine
the crow is dark
the eagle bald
the tune of the lark
has me enthralled
the gazelle is graceful
the grizzly’s strong
just watch me move
when he comes along
the lion rules the kingdom’s pride ~
that’s why humans live inside
Animal Kingdom
Beautiful creatures large and small
Species which fly, walk, swim or crawl
Respect life, not hastily condemn
Animal kingdom, we're guests among them
Cats, horses, elephants, giraffes
Hyenas with their infectious loud laugh
Zebras, crocodiles, lizards and snakes
Fish that swim in large crystal lakes
Eagles, hawks all raptors of prey
Birds by the water along a sea bay
Dolphins, whales, urchins that creep
Many size creatures of the blue deep
Consider them all, not steal their land
Man and his greedy money make plan
Less is their food encroach in 'our' space
Only to beat them with sticks and give chase
Hunt them down for a trophy cup win
Shoot them for their ivory and skin
Sickening to what humans will do
Brutality of those savage traps too
Caged in markets for the meat trade
Pain and suffering, eyes all afraid
Man will reap what he does sow
Rise of the animals evolution will grow
Return back their lands, freedom abound
Animal kingdom wear their own crown
Abuse them no more, lets end this all now
Sacred is life, compassion our vow.

but we do know how to love and share

Giraffes at Animal Kingdom Lodge
A great, long neck had a tall giraffe;
And when I did see made me laugh;
Bent to drink,
Each neck link,
Always causing me to crack in half.

Just got back home after 7 nights at
Animal Kingdom Lodge at Disneyworld.
Oh, no star, no fan, no fame, no nerd
how they see, hear or feel is how they treat
no cash nor need to be rich, life is red
low in rank but same with man as meat
each pair form from the need not to wed
a cat’s a cat, no rank, all in one seat
ants to lion, all be the same when dead
fend for kids like with the rope of a kite
that’s all it is when duty is on site
more than a type can mix with no bite
a dog and a bird can play and marvel
lie the tiny head on a big navel
love in a show to give a good novel.
here in the animal kingdom of school
where kids rule the halls
and the smaller, weaker kids get shuned
here in the animal kingdom of school
everyone preys on the smaller one
where food is more important than literature
here in the animal kingdom
where the anoeying teens scream and roar
where the weak get picked out
here in the animal kingdom
