a bouquet …

exquisitely exquisite
like naught else on this gilded planet
blooming on tender branches
supple and swaying
‘una flor fragante’
silken and sweet
pink petals open to entice … entirely
it’s lilt, aromatic
whirls thoughts like an eggbeater into
a carnal chaos
it’s synergy directing a
divine dermal dissolution of discretion
bane of the omnipotent
the fearless turned fools for its magic …
and madness …
inviolate or prurient
it has made kings out of paupers
twisted wills to wars
spun orbs on their axes
and made the universe of unions
ache for its aspect
the imperfect perfection of its
bewildering allurement
and the satiny seduction of
it’s beguiling floret -
the flower …

feminine.

The Skin I’m In

I’m paper sack brown,
and I’m still put down.
The knowledge unexposed,
the faith in my soul.
The voice, strictly bold.
The vibes I send,
It’s all inside of the skin I’m in.

You look, you see-
But please believe,
there’s definitely, definitely more to me.

Reach in, visualize…
Even close your eyes.
Feel with the sound,
as you’re mesmerized.
Now you see me, now you don’t.
Open your other eyes,
or I’m sure you won’t.

Seek to inquire the belly of mind.
The allurement you seek,
so much more you’ll find.

The truth you see is deep within,
It’s all inside of the skin I’m in.

In the shadow of sunlight

In the shadow of sunlight
We live our love story which we write
Where love's allurement overpowers quarrel's plight
As we sail into the sunset of our aging night

In the shadow of sunlight do we find our mutual affection
For there lies a fountain filled with both water and fire
Creating the equilibrium of our connection
Taking our faith to an altitude much higher

In the moon's light do we find our happily ever after
Our clock which tells a story of our laughter
In our heart's happiness lies the key
And together forever will our souls be
In the shadow of sunlight - You and Me

Premium Member Essence Lost

The writer said,
Never change that water
I want to keep it forever,
as if the pool changed its water's molecular strucure
to capture the essence of the movie star's
naked and glorious beauty,
as she swam like a mythical siren,
sending out notes of allurement.

A romantic story, if true,
but in the end the pool was drained
and the water was changed
after the death of the writer;
his heirs not sympathetic
to the whimseys
of a mercurial mind.

During languid summer days
I swim in the river and wonder
if its water's molecular structure is changed
to capture the essence of my presence,
and carry it lovingly
     to the west
          to its mouth
                to the sea.

Does the sea rejoice,
gifting the essence to the clouds
until they are full to bursting,
then send it falling back to earth
as rain on the mountains and forests and fields;
to fall on the heart of the city where I live
in a house with a roof that shelters me
from the essence of the rain
     from the sea
          from the river
               from me?

sweet innocent belle belies-
                                        allurement in her eyes

Expression

bloodshot deriving out of wide eyes conformed to the ceiling
ruby red polish accompany the nail
spritz of fragrance leaving behind an illusion of professionalism
receiving roses to give glad hand towards beauty

why is my allurement the focal point of my pitiful existence?

the roses molded
	the incense faded
		the varnish chipped away
the lids have found one another once again
awaken once more only to find that expression

Two Women

Their intimacy is gloved,
moments dovetail
in a tea-room.
I color-in implied gestures,
listen to the ambience
of undertones.

They enter a confessional space
lips linger over shared visions,
oracles only they can read.

Lipstick on China cups,
the twirled edge of a napkin,
the unclasped mouth of a purse;
pieces arranged on a white tablecloth
of magnetic intimations.

They are both attractive
yet in different ways,
together they impart
a comforting confidentiality;
bring to this small space
a delicate allurement.

I sense a wry tilt into humor,
a deeper conversation surfaces
as they settle the bill.

Leaving the warmth of the tea house
they kiss
but only lightly upon cheeks,
no flamboyance,
yet the inferred diffidence
is far more telling.

One of them seems to carry
the other's onus of care
sheltering her body from the cold.

I have a brief impulse to follow,
to stay awhile
in their mutual life raft.

These observations I record here,
are moments
to be contemplated only later
with closed eyes.

Premium Member Anniversary

Allurement of your charm and charisma
Neither to overlook nor to ignore.
Nearness of two wobbled hearts happened miraculous.
I honoured fervent fervid favour of fortune.
Vibrant Spring united us last year! Dear!
Emotive urge flooded my bubbling blood.
Rolled rippled pearly passion in romantic rapture.
Swam and sank in dulcet dream.
Ardent ardor whirled on pivot of non-verbal commitment.
Reappeared Spring in splendour after one year.
You are not back to celebrate Anniversary of our unison.

Unblinking Third Eye

Deep into the forest I tread,
Nothing along but a sense of dread.
The gloomy canopy
Of the spectral gigantic trees
Block the clear sky,
Led solely by
The unblinking third eye.

Lost amidst bewilderment,
Blindfolded by the guileful semblence.
Darkness misleads the way,
Wolf hunts in a deer veil.
There is woven a web of lies,
But Allurement is yet to overwhelm
The unblinking third eye.

A path made of thorns,
There is blood trail all along.
The smell incites the beasts,
Lurking around to prey upon.
Every moment, a wrestle to live or die,
Yet accompanied by
The unblinking third eye.

Premium Member Stay Hopeful

"Share the hopes within you still
And hold the dreams that in you reside
Invite a kiss from parted lips
And trace the paths where hearts abide."*

Soar above frustration despair
with God’s love keeping you steadfast
becoming a blessing to others
who are struggling from pains of the past.

Savour the Lord’s offered grace divine
trusting His Word, tastefully sweet
nurturing anticipation faith buds
for wondrous tomorrows to greet.

Seek always the Almighty’s wisdom
leading toward triumphant trail
warned against lurking allurement bait
valiantly smiting voices that derail.

Stay hopeful* midst prayer-filled days
reaching-out by Holy Spirit’s might
blissfully serene and grateful
looking forward for fruits of delight.

*Words from Joseph May
**Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Premium Member Sublime Obsession

With the work of the Lord as my priority task
upheld by ministerial privilege virtue
midst volunteerism exercise along faith-zest…

…I always pray, yielding to His omnipotence
that my heart earnestly as well as constantly
be pre-occupied with the Lord of the work…

…cognizant that servanthood pursuit-obsession
may breed unhealthy virtue-vice
lurking behind self-seeking glory motives
towering upon arrogant meekness
in the guise of faithful stewardship sacrifice…

Oh, may God forbid* that egoistic lust would reign
over my spiritual enthusiasm, divinely sublime
since fleshly human nature is never exempted…

…as I can succumb to such tempting allurement
when pulled toward carnality’s flame
and entangled with gratifying altruism-pleasure…
leaving guilty angst, tormenting the soul
while robbing me of worship's blissful serenity triumph.

*Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Lust- Divine Crime

Flame, burning flame
Not of the still mill’s furnace
Not of the scorching summer sun
Not of the volcanic hazards
The flame is youthful age
The burning flame is juvenile biological time
It burns inside the heart
It instigates the biological demand
It shows the path to douse the fire flame
Teenager comes as lover/beloved
But loses own sense in its dark flame well
Cause of naturalness in its allurement
Teenager finds not here crime, feels not guiltiness
Cause of naturalness in its enticement
That’s a divine crime adolescent body
That’s a disease of youthful biology
That is Lust………L-U-S-T thru L-O-V-E

Premium Member Temptation Twenty Four Seven

trials & temptations
life's leaven
       twenty-four seven

my nose pressed flat
   against the sweet shop pane
a yearning
       welled within
a sigh
a shrug
     I shuffle off
childhood was rationed then
where
apples overhang
       the orchard wall
sun-kissed draped
           now about to fall
in
hedgerows ablaze
             with succulent sweets
will-power
melts
     in a crumble

   temptation's face
        with whispers
so often
 ensnare &enlace

allurement
          in her glance
a come hither
           perchance
away away
        I'll not play
begone
deceit
false words
         go go
let not
my ego show
        depart depart
I'll not listen

Crime of Passion

My love has never been for sale

I've rented it out on occasion

Most often the arrangement ended

in a turbulent eviction

There were tenants seeking only temporary occupancy

They fled undercover of night

back into their darkness of deceptive intention.

Others unwilling to conform to
restrictions of a lease

with clauses of commitment.

Leaving in search of a more flexible arrangement.

Then there was you

Without bribe or allurement

You seduced my resolve

In full view of my heart's dauntless safeguards

Such a skilled thief and benevolent larcenist

You stole my heart
Because I was unable to give it.

A crime commited in the name of endearment.

Tears Crash

A boudoir lined with glass mirrors
reflecting her many faces
possessed by vanity.
Eyeshadows and rouge mix
to heighten streaks of allurement
with tears crashing for lost youth's gloss.
