Never a Marxist
I didn’t like Groucho
And though I read Spanish
forget Sancho Panza
I was a big Lenin fan
John, not Vlady --
who loved a hot-toddy
when courting a ‘la-dy’
Today my likes and dislikes
blow hot and cold
which is likely to happen
when your blood runs old
for you poems will write
to read them all did invite
was thrilled with the site
poems were part of news
to read them would refuse
did declare a truce
bright brain I do need
my mind must be sure to feed
read your news agreed
Chet was gaga on the floor kick your feet in love with Serenity
she did not feel exactly this way, but wanted to be in love too
there were no other suiters, so she gave it her best shot
It was not working so she took a new approach
she would try to fall in love with his family
it was an easier gig; his mother was hilarious.
his grandmother made her cherry cheesecake brownies.
falling in love with these brownies was the deal-maker
she agreed to marry him.
unfortunately, it was not enough.
Candy ribbon amber skies tantalized my imagination tonight
there was an eclipse the second we saw a touch of moonlight
our boat was still. In silence we waited, expecting something.
What wonderfulness could this mystical ethereal evening bring?
My three companions felt compelled to be silent too.
We sat in the boat, admiring the sky with its amber hue.
Suddenly a white dove flew past with something red in her beak.
We looked at each other, but there was not a peep or a squeak.
I felt I had been kissed with a messenger from heaven herself.
We sat silently, waiting for the next faerie, sea witch or elf.
It was a night we recalled later, each of us having not enough prose.
The one thing we agreed upon…..the white dove held a red rose.
God always agreed
in my mind planted a seed
write poems He will read
I WILL
I will , she accepted
To be entangled
And mingle in love
With a stranger
I will, she agreed
A firm promise made
Sincerely from the inmost heart
Purified like a gold
I will, she decided
Amidst life challenges
Through the sun
Or in the rain
I will, she did
By accepting the ring
As he proposed
A sign of what he desired.
I will , he promised
To go meet your parents
As a proof of my love
To be together with you.

Agreed What We Need God to Feed
Horn Haiku
have always agreed
what we need is God to feed
us all and to lead
Jim Horn
Are things that about have agreed;
Those who were slaves are freed;
New life begin,
Free from sin,
And be sure to help those in need.
Jim Horn
Things We Need and Always Agreed
There are things we need and always agreed;
We should start planting each and every seed,
That in a field;
To us appealed,
And then many mouths may be able to feed.
Jim Horn
To find friend in need,
Should start to speed;
Be friend,
Until end;
Desire God and agreed.
Jim Horn
Much To Read and Will Have Agreed
Much has been here for you to read,
And after done you will have agreed;
Need so much,
With each touch
There are still so many now in need.

Is Agreed They Need
There is no doubt by many it is agreed,
Congress should survey what they need;
Not wait;
Motivate;
Maybe more ideas to them should feed.
Jim Horn
Indeed We Agreed
God planted His seed;
And indeed we both agreed;
Our Savior is here.
Jim Horn
It Is Agreed
What is it that I should simply say?
Either stay here or turn them away
When you see sadness in each soul
Who want a fair chance to grow old.
How could I help by loose my cool
When terrible action by some fool
Children ended up suffering so much
If in my arms all of them I could clutch.
Must be loving answer from our Lord
What is it we can do to always afford
And care for children and each one feed
They need is our compassion it is agreed.

If love calls for me
and tells me words you say bear tears
I'd fend the fear
that melts those words,
until your sense
with me
agrees
If time defaced our vows,
and closed those doors
with sounds of life awash
with these fears
With our ungrounded tears
We would charm a distant well
without a cent...
for faith you lost in me
agrees
If silky goodbyes
crown a gilt-edged pledge with grief
I'd resign
all thoughts of guided fate
Cause then...
no tear with fear
agrees
