I Will

I WILL I will , she accepted To be entangled And mingle in love With a stranger I will, she agreed A firm promise made Sincerely from the inmost heart Purified like a gold I will, she decided Amidst life challenges Through the sun Or in the rain I will, she did By accepting the ring As he proposed A sign of what he desired. I will , he promised To go meet your parents As a proof of my love To be together with you. An Ijeoma Ikonne's poem © 2021
