55 Years And Counting

Thinking about earthly matters
One should not forget about the soul
Sometimes I look at the sky
When I look at the it, I fly
So much foreboding these days
Though life is thick and thin for me
I arrived one year with peace
Simple celebration is heaven to me
Fried fish, jackfruit, rice and tea
Enough to thank God for 55 years life
Some greetings to relive my natal day
Enough to thanks good friends around
I thank God for all my life I have
After that momentous 35 years I've found
What on Earth in life is all about
That is to surrender and doing His perfect Will.

At Number 55

Numbers change,
years fly by.
I observe internal changes
with curiosity,
pleasure and interest,
with less interest,
no pleasure in external ones
well, here it is
I'm moving on...

Premium MemberTwo Doves: a 55 word story

A widower once had a spring visitor, a dove with no mate. It roosted in a tree near where the old man often sat. It cooed to him.

One day the man's daughter looked for him, he was gone. She was startled by the sudden flight of two doves.

The old man was never found.

Premium MemberFaith: a 55 word story

A woman stands on the Precipice. She wants to fly. She has always wanted to fly.
When she looks down Gravity says, "You can't fly. I will pull you down."
When she looks up Sky says, "you can fly, the Wind will lift you up."
The woman believes. She leaps...up...up...up...and up.

True Things Prevail - Bitcoin Poem 055

Honest people say what is true
The iron law - true things prevail
And not the lies that often spew
From diktats which our rights curtail

Opinions and ideas abound
What are the signs of truth telltale?
Follow incentives - search around
What ideas will our freedoms derail?

Follow ideas to where they lead
Think of the results - in detail
Talk and discuss - think and read
Stand for freedom. Let truth prevail

Does an idea centralize power?
Central powers will always fail
Though dictators may gain the hour
In the end - true things prevail

Bitcoin keeps the ledger true
Decentralized - on worldwide scale
Better money for me and you
Come join and let the truth prevail

How many times can you ponder your own life?
How often should you think about where you are?
Analyzing yourself can cut like a knife,
Causing you to bleed memories and scars.

But, thinking about your past and what you’ve done
Can shape your future and who you will become.
Bad memoires, and good ones, can weigh a ton,
But they will always remind you where you’re from.

So, feel free to ponder your life for a bit
And try to remember the loved ones you’ve lost.
Because, they’re the ones, though you may not admit it
That remind you, who you are comes at a cost.

Premium MemberMeditation On Psalm 55

I said, “oh, that I had the wings of a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest—
I would flee far away
and stay in the desert; SELAH
I would hurry to my place of shelter,
far from the tempest and storm.”

Psalm 55:6-8 NIV

Often Lord, from life, I want to run and hide.
Glory be, as a consolatory dove, by my side.
Lifting me to heights, unaware, breathing rest.
You place me in the cleft. I weep on your breast.

I have no wings, but you carry me on yours.
When suffering and grief show up, we soar.
Together with my love, hope and faith — Lord.
O how on calvary your blood and tears poured.

Premium MemberDifficult Acceptance - Mehrabian's 55-38-7 Percent Rule

Angry face and praising word.
I can't find out which is true.
Inputs begin to argue.
A straight posture is preferred.

Grinning face and sorrow word.
These can mislead our feelings.
People need careful dealings
with what they saw and they heard.

These are express confusion.
Which has the strong impression,
visual, vocal, or verbal?

Visual, fifty-five percent,
Vocal, thirty-eight percent,
And Verbal, seven percent.
