Hark the zither sounds like a melody,
reminding me of spring,
of birds singing in revelry,
all joys which bring
a serenity of a troubled soul.
Fingers pluck the tight chords,
vibrating sounds ears can't control,
echoes like fjords.
The vibrating sounds propagate the air,
Invented in the east;
An ecstasy you hardly bear,
truly a feast.
