humpback-whales-breach - Africa Geographic

The water from the blow hole spewed. It’s hard to believe what then ensued. With his powerful tail and massive speed, The great humpback whale’s breaching was awesome to see.

Bill - this brings back a wonderful memory of whale watching just a few years ago in Maui, the boat was so close, and the baby whale came up and swam underneath the boat - they are magnificent creatures. Beautiful poem - David

reminds me of the time I was flying from the US to Europe;the plane crossed the Atlantic and I was able to see the massive and powerful whales. I can only imagine what they must look like close up.

An awesome write, i could whale watch a complete holiday when we are by the coast, but we are not always so lucky as to get to see such a sighting. However, one morning, at a seaside place in Cape Town where we had breakfast with our son, the sea was blue and deep, and rocks about were sharp and steep, yet within them a young whale played, his mother in sight, how beautiful we watched in sheer delight. love your poem Bill, hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

It is awesome to see them do that, and it leaves me wondering how they can do it due to their massive size. Of course, I have never seen it in person. They say that on occasion there are some whales off the coast of Georgia, but I have never been there when it happened. Your visit to my page was inspiring. Sara
