The Misty Mountains



  oh, the mist on mountains
       rising to meet the clouds
    swirling like ocean waves
  land shrouded in a veil . ..
          secrets of plumes misty
  that the morn' will reveal

This is such a sweet poem. There was a mountain a few miles behind my ancestral home. As a child, I used to watch mist rising from it and veiling the surroundings. Reading your cute poem, i am reminded of it. I missed seeing this as POTD. Congratulations dear Constance on this well deserved honor.

Dear Constance, There’s something so peaceful in the way you describe the mist “rising to meet the clouds, swirling like ocean waves.” It’s such a beautiful image of land and sky blending together, secrets hidden in the soft gray, the world holding its breath before the sun comes up.
