This is my favourite photograph of my wonderful great grandfather William. We both adored his great big bear hugs and wide beaming smile ... why did he have to die? Double Tetractys 6 Poetry Contest Image 3 Checked with how many syllables Contest sponsored by Eve Rope 11/17/20

This might be fiction, Jan, but it reminds me of young children who have invisible friends to whom they talk and share. Congratulations on your top placement. Hugs // paul

Why do our favorite people have to die, I guess that is God's ruling, but so sad. One thing is certain in life and that is death. So lets be jolly and keep writing your fun limericks. My grandfather was my idol when I was small, I could do anything I wanted, he was the poet in our family, maybe I inherited some of his genes Your great grand dad looks so kind and loves his bear hugs, a very sweet photo - best wishes for a win my friend. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.
