We sat cosy on the veranda, Watching the sun dipping on the horizon, Deep red twilight that suddenly turned dark granite. The sea grew stormy like a tsunami, and fear: It gripped us both; what a jolt by twilight. Sea waves reached our veranda, and we got wet. Fear! But then the twilight returned to red. So, it did not last long. And all was serene once more.

What a scary feeling as waves reached your veranda, but glad all went back to normal. When the deep red twilight turned to granite, your fear grew but you relaxed as the twilight turned to red once more. Very cool write, cosy, then scary then cosy all over again. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

The serene evening was suddenly destroyed by the sea turning stormy. Things can change in an instant. But things returned to normal and twilight returned to red. Beautiful entry for the contest. All the best dear Victor.

Victor this was so real to me when I read it. I could picture myself out there and be calm relaxing and suddenly a change of weather and ocean current taking me by surprise after looking at a surreal Horizon. The raw emotion you make the reader feel Victor is your ability to create a scene and bring the reader in to feel and see through your words this act of mother nature.

Dear Victor, your poem vividly captures the intensity of nature's sudden shift, transforming a peaceful evening into a moment of fear and awe. The contrast between the tranquil sunset and the stormy surge of waves mirrors the unexpected turbulence in life, where calm can swiftly give way to chaos. Nicely done...Hugs
