Spring unfolds into the hot summer sun With bright sizzling beaches and waves that roll Love ignites as our two hearts beat as one In the sun’s path glimmering soul to soul The ocean breeze lifts our love to the sky Wild surf moves with our emotions that stir Our hands intertwined like ribbons that tie The clouds disappear with only a blur Our deep summer love makes everything clear As we skip on the beach in our own dance Souvenirs of shells wash into us near Warm twilight kisses, the surf do enhance All that is meant for us to be today Sings music from the ocean, at the bay Heidi Sands 5/6/18 Placed 5th in the Summer Love Sonnet contest.
