A Vision

Once I had a vision, a possibility of contentment and love. Now I'm empty-handed, disenchanted with what life has given me. So I can only ask, my Lord: Why did you create me? Why must I suffer all this pain? Is this the meaning of my life? But my heart answered for me: You are a child of God, a loving, merciful Lord. He gave you life to share His happiness, but you freely chose the happiness of this world. Turn back the clock, and start serving Him and Him alone. Deliverance is at hand, you only have to ask. You only have to choose.

Great one Victor. It's so tricky and seems unfair but we get to realise that there's a lot and our lord's hope for us is not suffering too. It will come but coming out of it depends on how much we understand him and his words. "Deliverance is at hand, you only have to ask. You only have to choose." Lovely.

We so often have these same feelings. We pray, but have to except the outcome for He knows best. Love the story, my friend.

Victor, He makes everything possible, we make everything impossible. I wrote about it in USs ongoing contest about we being created as possibles. Book of Matthew, part of the Beatitudes scripturally, it speaks about a light on a hill--and not on the north face wall of Mt Everest as a dangling 20 yr-old mtn climber 2,000 ft in the air--as noted, an optimal course than an obstacle one. Remember, make 'impossible' to I'm-possible, Aloha

Victor, what a wonderful vision you had. Do you know my dear?. I think exactly the same. I wonder all those questions you do. But the clock can't be turned back. You choose to be free every day, you choose to be enjoying, even if you are feeling blue. You have to choose life, in spite of all the adversities. There it will always be tomorrow and you never know what life brings back. That's the beauty of life. Love/María

Indeed, we have Freewill -- you will get another chance... That does not mean that there will no penance between journeys -- but God is merciful, knowing our mistakes before we make them. I can relate. You speak truth for most of us. Blessings my friend.

With so much suffering in the world I am sure many ask that question, but his plans are beyond our understanding.

Victor, your beautifully composed poem speaks to the heart. God' goodness and grace truly is the answer, if we but trust in Him. This is a fave for me. :)

Hope you relish the beauty of tranquility and contentment even though your questions are not always answered.. my best wishes for great times in health and wealth.. Best regards.

Dear Victor, you had the vision of contentment and love, sadly you lost your love but remember you will reunite one day. Go on sharing God’s happiness, enjoy each day of your life, and keep writing your wonderful poetry, it’s therapeutic… Beryl

Touching words, Victor. Bibles now are required and taught! in public schools in one United State. The Ten Commandments posted as well. Normally I would be wary, on the contrary, it may help some even one, student. As long as teachers do not become pastors and use charm to abuse students. Embracing the Lord for change. God bless ;)

Many feel as you do, Victor. I have to stop myself from whining and look at this way: our time here on earth is but a brief trial period to see how well we cope with burdens or misery. I hate my physical discomforts brought to me by doctors we are taught to trust. I wish I were faithful enough to pray with belief I could be healed, yet I say to myself: soon enough I will be HOME with God, where love embraces everyone and all we need to do right now is be as loving and kind as we can to all

The latter end of life I have seen is difficult, especially when so many go before you, especially your spouse;and yet, we know the Lord has a purpose. We will be utterly refreshed on the other side of this life. So glad that you are with us, Victor. You are a joy and a great poetry friend. Hugs ~ Kim

Dear Victor, How very touching and profound are your words, my friend. I sensed that every word captured the feeling of searching for meaning in life. And you ask a great question: "Why did you create me?" It hits hard for anyone who can honestly ask. I love the answer your heart gave, which is quite beautiful - a strong reminder that God's love is always there and forgiveness is always possible. Yes, Faith, Love and Hope in Jesus Christ are the answers. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

A glorious vision...and great poem, indeed. When we are young and happy, we choose our own ways. But when we are sad and dejected, we turn to God. This is what we all do. But God will never desert us. The moment we turn to Him, He will give us peace of mind and happiness. It is our need to ask and choose.

Yes, human beings can choose whether to believe or not to believe. So many people choose to go their own way. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Life is not easy but with God and the Holy Spirit to guide us, it is so much more pleasurable. Sara K
