A Vision
Once I had a vision,
a possibility of contentment and love.
Now I'm empty-handed, disenchanted
with what life has given me.
So I can only ask, my Lord:
Why did you create me?
Why must I suffer all this pain?
Is this the meaning of my life?
But my heart answered for me:
You are a child of God,
a loving, merciful Lord.
He gave you life to share His happiness,
but you freely chose the happiness of this world.
Turn back the clock,
and start serving Him and Him alone.
Deliverance is at hand, you only have to ask.
You only have to choose.
