With this ring
The Circle forms,
No Beginning, no End,
We bring to Birth
What we Intend.
With this ring
The Cycle turns,
Love to Love, Friend to Friend,
To greater Worth
Our Spirits Tend.
With this ring
Forever Bound,
Our Hearts through Time together Wend.
Each turn of Earth
New Hope Portends.
With this ring
We join as One,
Our Love its Light Eternal Sends
Its golden Mirth
From Us to All, sans End.
The tradition of marriage,
Bourgeois blackmail and baggage,
Is it all a bargain for men,
Is this what white weddings meant?
All the love that is lost,
And what is the ultimate cost?
A divorce court pizza,
Magistrate smirks like Mona Lisa,
Four corners, one for each,
Dog gets the crust, if it can reach,
Cats get the anchovies,
Were white weddings all for phonies?
When is the revolution?
Blancmange brides for pollution,
Bridesmaids-Little Bo Peeps on crack,
Does society cut us some slack?
We joined the bourgeoisie,
All ends in tears and hypocrisy.
In beautiful surroundings, sitting there,
sweet fragrance of carnations filled the air.
The perfume stirred romantic feelings while
we waited quietly. But soon a smile
when all at once we heard the organ chime.
Crescendo grew with the familiar rhyme
and rhythm of their song to walk the aisle.
A vision to behold! In wedding style
arrived the handsome groom and lovely bride,
bouquet of light pink roses held with pride.
Carnations, roses, music, marriage rite...
Our senses overflowed with sheer delight!
Like a Spring Blossom
Ever changing
Sits at my side, loyal
and cherished
‘Til Summer then Autumn
and Winter again.
Year followed by year
To spin our Gold
and you, a Rose
forever blooms
and I, the branch
to support your
sweet bouquet.
To Love someone with all your hear is one thing
To love someone with all you have is another thing
To love some with all you could be is so sweat
But to Love each other to the point you can't live
without one another it is true love indeed.
