June Wedding Poems and Vows

Poems

Sailing

Life is so serene
Sailing along the ocean....
Stranded with no tow

Wave floods over bow
three tiered cake melts in the noon
June sunshine

Wedding Day Memories

Anticipation
giddy, flushed with excitement
vows taken, two souls made one
a celebration
friends, family and sweet cake
gifts received, music and dance
mini vacation
time on the water and beach
made love under a bright moon

No Wedding Vows For Him

There once was a rooster with style.
He crowed for the hens a long while.
He was a cool dude.
And many were wooed.
Somehow, he avoided the aisle.

Her Wedding

It’s been a funny summer, June
skipped into August and was gone.
How did we miss that afternoon?
It’s been a funny summer. June
just packed her bags. No honeymoon.
The whole production overdrawn,
it’s been one funny summer. June
skipped into August and is gone.

Wedding Ring Finger

The gold band
Highlights the place,
Marks it out,
Encircles it,
Tells the world
That I belong,
The finger points out our love

Its gold band,
Worn like a crown,
Gives it weight,
Solemn duty,
Proudly born,
It represents
Vows I made to you for life

Wedding Banquet

Words in a vow for bride and groom,
Embark with zest a journey quest;
Dance here and now that happy bloom,
Deep lovely fest to live your best;
In-sync with feel of mind and heart,
Notes that attest a song of grace;
Glimpse and reveal a couple's start.
Blessings to vest you face to face,
Abide love true in all seasons;
Niche faith and hope in warm embrace,
Quiz love's bright hues beyond reason;
Urge sculpts bold scope to meet life's pace,
Ebb and flow here in lovely chimes,
Touch love that steers warm space and time.

Wedding Day

Wedding Day

Bright Saturday in June
and there, for once, the whole of it
and, Lord, I have no camera.

Outside the church
a wedding party waits.
A Mass is still in progress.

Before the wedding can begin
ten men, in files of five,
must carry out the corpse.
