Wedding Ring Finger

The gold band
Highlights the place,
Marks it out,
Encircles it,
Tells the world
That I belong,
The finger points out our love

Its gold band,
Worn like a crown,
Gives it weight,
Solemn duty,
Proudly born,
It represents
Vows I made to you for life

Congrats on your win! Very admirable to think of your ring this way. I've met some married men who don't even like to wear their rings - of course they are usually the ones who don't want to be married either! But if worn correctly, just as you describe, it is a wonderful symbol of love :) btw, no i'm not in a band. glad if my poem made you think so - hopefully that means it's realistic!

wow, Jack, you chose such a special part to emulate. The symbolism of it says a lot about your feelings for your wife and your abiding commitment to her. AWesome.
