Couplet Wedding Poems and Vows

A Wedding Proposal
Walk beside me and be my wife, Enjoy with me this beauty we call life. My heart glows with happiness when you are near. I want to be with you forever, my dear. I tremble at your every touch, This is because I love you so much. If there was only one wish I could have today, It would be to feel this way each and every day. The sound of your voice fills my heart. Is there nothing that can keep us apart? Yesterday is just a dream, our future yet to express. Let us share this life with our same name and address. I hope you always say yes! Edward J. Ebbs - January 2007

Autumn Wedding Dream
The wedding they’d dreamed of was carefully chosen For brisk mid-autumn before the ground was frozen As her freedom fighter struggled in the Mideast She was absorbed in planning a fall wedding feast A lively country band in the red barn would play Magenta chrysanthemums would be her bouquet Though many of his comrades never made it home He returned to be wed ‘neath fall’s colorful dome *Entry for Rick’s “Autumn Dream” contest

Wedding Bands
Wedding Bands I placed a ring on her left hand A plain white gold wedding band With all my love this ring is from me I also wore a ring for people to see Today the rings have become something more They also tie us together for evermore Mine is still on my left hand From my neck hangs her wedding band I feel her in my heart and in my life I still think of her as my wife

Wedding Music Extended
A bride who became sick at her wedding one day, Sent word to the organist to please continue to play. He played and he played until his back was breaking. And no progress was made although he was really aching. An usher soon came and gave word of her healing. The Bridal Chorus was begun and soon was revealing. That they were all ready to commence down the aisle. And I cannot blame the bridegroom for his big goofy smile. *Poulter's Measure...True story for Brian Strand's contest.

Invitation To the Monster's Wedding
Halucinatrix and the Beast invite you to a fiendish feast. Bring a present, something fresh, made of fish or fowl or flesh from a unicorn as white as the moon will be tonight. We will dance around the tomb, of the Queen we will exhume, who will marry us and then, we'll lay her back to rest again As we leave the cemetery, Throw white lice and wish us merry. Reception afterwards will be... on Haunted Hill, "neath Hangman's Tree. Y'all Come !

Cold Feet
There are days into the sea I step, Ever mindful of its depth. Against my shins the froth enchants, til intrigue tugs me to advance. While writhing weeds like serpents’ snare climb in deceit my skin--yet fair-- Rarely do I tread chest high and never has she scaled my eyes. Ever mindful, submissive sigh Most of the time my feet stay dry.

If
If I held you close would you mind? If I said to love me a minute longer would you have time? If I said to kiss me would i feel that you care? If I looked at you for hours would you mind that I stared? If forever is what i wanted would you promise to be true? If I told you would you believe me If I said I love you? If all these things I ask of you, you tell me you can do? Then theres one more question that I have for you .....Is your answer I do?
