Contest Description

What to Submit? Choose a topic sentence then write a poem based on the topic sentence you have choosen.  Here are the rules.  Nothing longer than 16 lines!

1.  Title the poem with any title you want to use.

2.  Write the topic sentence perhaps directly under your title.  If I don't see the topic sentence you choose I am not choosing your poem as a winner.

3.  Short and easy to read are the rules here, therefore:  Nothing longer than 16 lines.   (This is the max length.)  However nothing shorter than 4 lines.  Easy to read means don't use complicated words that make me want to grab a dictionary to understand.

4.  Here are the topic sentences to choose from:  Choose one and only one of these four options!

  • Choose wisely your what guards your heart; for we are products of our environment.

  • I'm okay, you're okay is a mask in the land of pretend.
  • There are many "cures" for depression, some of them are drugs from a pharmasist, and others are creations by a loving God.
