What to Submit?

ONE NEW POEM... on any theme
Only A "Enclosed Rhyme" form will be acceptable.

Enclosed Rhyme
One or more verses with a rhyme scheme of "abba" (that is, where the first and fourth lines, and the second and third lines rhyme).

All poems must use :

in order to check for rhyme, grammar and syllable counts ...no other programs will be acceptable.

Rules

1) DATE YOUR POEM! From Jan.22, 2019 onward.
2) Place the contest (Name and Sponsor) at the bottom.
3) NO NAMES
4) Maximum 24 lines - Minimum of 20 lines

In this contest First, Second and Third prize winners, must supply me with mailing address in order to receive their prize.

Prizes

First Prize... A signed copy of my book, (for new winners only).

Second Prize... A signed copy of my book, (for new winners only).

Third Prize... A signed copy of my book, (for new winners only).

Forth to tenth prize... Glory.

Anyone who places ( first, second or third ), will have the opportunity to have there bio and winning poem published in a section of my newest book titled "A Match In The Dark". Check out my "blog" for details.

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read no illustrations or fancy fonts.

Poems must be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, even if you wrote both the original poem and the translation.

A Note to Poetry Contestants
All previous winners who have won a book in one of my contests who wish to participate in this contest or any future contests are free to do so, but in fairness to all, your poem will not be eligible for another book. (One book per author) and you cannot asign your prize to another poet, however you can choose which of your winning poems you'd like to have printed in my new book. (ONE POEM PER AUTHOR).
