Turbo Cat goes Nitro

There is clearly nothing new in the world. In conversation with Mr Google, I discover that a 'Turbo Cat' appeared in a 2019 movie. Henceforth, therefore, including in 'Ice Cream Gran 6' and 'Ice Cream Gran 7', my 'Turbo Cat' has evolved into 'Nitro Cat'. He's practicing his autograph as we speak.

We have a new Guinness Nitro Can over here which is flying off the shelves, but I’m sure nitro cat should be safe enough Terry, unless you decide to enter him in the Guinness world records, might enter into murky waters, cheers David

No probs, David. nitro is a real word and as there is no Nitro Cat it should be safe. Turbo (which I preferred) was a problem, not in itself but in combination with Cat. I’m sure none of this matters over much if I keep Gran and her moggie tucked away in Soup’s corridors. But, we’re I to offer them up for wider scrutiny, it might prove awkward. Cheers. Terry

It’s surprisingly frequent, Andrea. When I wanted an enemy for my Freezer Mice, I tried Vampire Rats… been done. Vampire Cats… been done. Vampire Gnats… been done. Vampire Brats… been done (with a ‘Z’). I even got desperate and thought ‘Vampire Splats’ (as in blood splatter)… a ‘Splat’ is apparently a group of vampires (from ‘Twilight’, I believe.). Gave up in the end and went for a different foe. Terry

It’s uncanny, Tom. There’s been so many times that this has happened, even the almost imponderable. My third novel, which I suspect I’ll never finish, I decided to call ‘Of God and Policemen’. If this is an expression, I’ve never heard it. I looked it up just be on the safe side. About six months earlier some band I’d never heard of had released a track called ‘Gods and Policemen’. Weird.
