Frankys Party: Massive whoops!

No clue what happened, but my poem 'Frankys Party' seemed to lose all its formatting and appeared as a couple of very long sentences. Apologies to anyone who tried to fight their way through it, but it's all sorted now. Terry

Hi Andrea. I don’t think it was down to Soup. It’s weird though, because it looked perfect on the submissions page. The thing is, I always double check that my poems ‘load’ okay... this time I didn’t. Typical!

I'm so glad you got the formatting sorted the poem is an absolute gem, it's superb poetry. I would urge people to read it, we need more humour in our lives and on soup:-) hugs Jan xx

I adore writing in rhyme especially for limericks which is its my favourite form, I always use rhymezone although as a Brit some of the rhyming is alien to me lol

Why, thank you, Jan. I sense that ‘rhyme’ is still looked down upon by some exponents of the ‘finer’ poetry forms. But you and I both know how much effort can go into making the line you want to say rhyme, rather than just bunging in erroneous sentences just because they do. Mind you... even in rhyme, it helps if the damned thing is actually legible. ;-) Thanks your generous appraisal. Terry

Lol, I thought it was free verse when I saw it first but worked it out, gremlins in the soup bowl or that damn alien from my poem. Tom

It’s a shame. Wrote this 5 or 6 years ago (with Dog Show) but didn’t like the end. Tried half a dozen ends today and settled on one. Then it all went bonkers. Shame because twenty odd people will have viewed it and dumped it. Tempted to delete and repost. Will think on it. Glad you still got it. Terry
