I've had recent issues with a new poem never appearing on the new poems list (at least as far as I could tell). Well, I've posted today at UK time 1 a.m. which is approx 8 p.m. USA.... NO SIGN OF IT! Then I notice those seemingly innocuous words, "updated every hour". WHAT THE HECK! This is the digital age... everything happens NOW! Soup really has hit a new low here... next they'll tell us to submit poems by post and await confirmation by stagecoach. With the majority of soup members residing in the U.S. of A, posting at 1 am UK time means mid evening readership in the U.S.... but bedtime for us UK night owls. HEY! Think of all those readers that will have enjoyed (or otherwise) your poem while you slept!... Doesn't happen... poem simply disappears. I'm not gonna sit here and proclaim that my poem was the best poem ever written by man.... but as a paid up member, it should at least be readily accessible by other members. Team Poetry Soup... get your act together because (Note to the man from trading standards) this is not the service you charged me for.
