Arthur, you are so right. I can only be humbled when I think about Darren, and indeed - your and Tim's efforts here. Memorable all the way around, and reflective of some really good purities at work in the human spirit.

Hi Arthur, This is such a heartfelt and moving piece about Darren. It not only shows the kind and courageous person Darren is, It shows your heart as well. This blog makes me want to get to know Darren better. People may differ in beliefs but we must not forget we must aim to accept and love others no matter what. I'm so sorry not to have commented but I've been extremely busy. Thanks for sharing such a blog:-) Alexis

This is so heartfelt Arthur. I have yet to meet Darren but through your beautiful words I see an amazing soul who I am delighted to give much positive healing energy and my hand in friendship as he recovers and strengthens both body and mind. Tim's poem for Darren is his heart in words and you both give so generously of yourselves, it is a wonderful example of the power of friendship that the Soup community does so very well as the comments in your blog show. I will be reading Darren's poetry as well as catching up - what a beautiful way to begin a new year and my slow return to PS. Thank you Arthur :-) lynn

Thank you, Arthur, for telling me about your blog for Darren. It is truly special and the heartfelt kindness moves me to tears! Being gone from Soup for so many months, I'm not privileged to know Darren. He sounds like an amazing young man. To Darren: I am praying for your recovery and hope you can feel the love of God and all your dear friends around you. Blessings and much love, Rhonda

The next time we start to complain about mundane trivial BS, we should always remember how blessed we truly are. It is a sad reality some are born to suffer their entire lives and those of us who do not suffer, have no idea what that is like. Take care Darren and God's speed back to us. I pray your surgery is a success.

Unconditional kindness is rare - a success that many don’t see or care to achieve, but in the end, one of the few that really matter. Thanks Arthur for letting us know. Darren is in my prayers. And Tim, I like your poem.
