Hi again, folks,
I've noticed a few folk have problems with images that they upload to accompany their poems, namely pictures being stretched and distorted. Probably because their chosen image is just a bittoo large for the Soup website to cope with. If you have a chosen image on your pc, may I suggest using the website www.resizeimage.net .
Firstly, click on 'Upload an image', and upload your photo from whatever folder on your PC it is in, then scroll down to option 4, which is resize image. There are three boxes in a row, namely percentage, then dimensions in pixels (width and height) and a box that says 'Keep aspect ratio'. UNTICK the keep aspect ratio box, and in boxes two and three, type in 640 and 480. This is a size that the Soup can manage.
Scroll down to option 6, which is 'save your image as' and click on JPG.
Below option 7, you will see the 'resize image' button. Click it, and after a few seconds you can use the 'view image' button on the same line, and 'download image' to put the newly resized image on your computer, ready for use. However, I find it easier to view the newly resized image, right click on it, and select 'save image' and put it in my downloads folder. Saves any possible conflicts.
That should sort it. If not, message me.
Yours, undistortedly,
Viv
