Thanks Kim and Constance. I am just so happy he has been in contact with me. His e mail was short, I will not divulge what he wrote to me but please do continue to remember him in your prayers. I've decided not to contact his daughter Sandra, there are others on the site who are in contact and I dont want to bother her un necessarily. hugs jan xx

I also was worried about Victor, having not heard from him on FB Messenger where we communicate. I contacted his daughter Sandra, and this is her response. Last week on Tues he wasn’t answering my calls. I always call him in the morning to check on him. I went to his house and found him unable to get up. I rushed him to the hospital as I thought he was having a stroke but it resulted that his blood sugar had dropped He’s not happy at all and misses writing his poems and communicating with all of you. But I’m hoping by mid-August he’ll be back Sandra

I was looking at a few of Victor's poems. A reply to Eve Roper on his poem, "Do Ghosts Make Love;" makes me think he's not doing well. She says, "I hope you are doing better." He says, "No." So sad, indeed. I hope we hear from him soon. Hugs, Brandy

Sorry still no answer from Victor today. His day usually begins at noon or there abouts and after lunch and tidying up he prays for 3 hours. Since I started conversing with him a couple of years ago,he has been a lonely very sick man. He held Eve in esteem as one of his true friends. When I hear from him I will let everyone know. Contacting his daughter may let all know more.

I know Victor is a proud and private man and would not want the details of his health put on public display, it is in poor taste to do so. We are all worried but need to respect his privacy as well. I agree with Jan, as she knows him quite well.

I suggest we let the issue of Victor’s health not be cause for contention. It seems he only shared the extent of his ailments with several of those he was closest to instead of enlightening everyone, so I hope we can all respect his privacy and wish him well.

I disagree with your comment - Victor is an intensely private man, we last met at Easter this year and details of our conversations would never be revealed. But I know for sure he would NOT be happy that you posted so much detail of his medical conditions on the soup forum. I suggest you turn your speaks volumes button on to mute!

Having met Victor on several occasions I don't think he would be happy at all with you putting details of his medical issues in a blog for all to see.

It is with great concern that I have learned of Victor's recent health struggles, and I fervently hope for his swift recovery. My supplications are fervently directed toward Victor's well-being. Regrettably, I have beheld the lamentable sight of Victor's ailment and shall maintain him within the confines of my meditations, wishing upon him a substantial amelioration of his physical state.

I have his personal Email, I have just Emailed him but it is only 6 am in the morning in Malta. If he is home he will rise a little later. He spends quite some time praying if he is well enough. If he answers me I will let everyone know straight away.

Thank you all for your response! Hopefully we will hear something. Victor is a great PS friend. When my mom was dying he had prayers said at his church in Malta for my mom. He so generously reads our poems and his poetry is delightful.

Good Morning Kim and everyone. The last I heard from Victor was two weeks ago. He has been in fragile heath for a long time and has been strong however the past two months he truly has stated his health has turned and was back and forth to the hospital. I have been busy so the past two weeks have flown by fast and I have always feared the worse for him and his health. I adore Victor and I hope he is stable and surrounding himself with love beauty and peace. Victor we love you and your work. Thank you

oh my goodness . I have been so occupied, I've not even noticed if he is not commenting. I sure do hope he is ok. I need to leave my password to my daughter or grand daughter. Everyone should do something like this in case the worst happens to us. It would be so nice to be informed.
