Welcome to my bio! I love poetry, of course, and enjoy interacting with other Soupers. I am originally from Upstate New York, travelled with the U.S. Navy and ended up in the Southern United States.
It seems I always manage to confuse with my contests. The only two rules are:
FOLLOW Rules:
Write me a dodoitsu syllables 7775 (one only)
After title “-dodo” (Example: “Crazy World-dodo”)
At the beginning was something to perhaps prompt your poem. The poem itself was not a dodoitsu but rather contained nonsensical lyrics that went along with the title of the contest. What prompted this? Do do it su (dodoitsu) made me think of Laverne and Shirley (Sitcom) where the characters say "vo dee oh do" instead of "have sex." This may or may not prompt a little humor (not required) in your dodoitsu.
Dodoitsu definition: The Dodoitsu is a fixed folk song form of Japanese origin and is often about LOVE or HUMOR. It has 26 syllables made of of four lines of 7, 7, 7, 5 syllables respectively. It is unrhymed and non-metrical.
Hope this clears up any confusion. Have a blessed day!
