I feel the best poem I have on this site is "San Luca"; it has received the least attention of those I have posted. I felt my weakest to be "Curtains". It has received more attention than any other I have posted. Ergo: I haven't a clue whether what I'm doing is good or not!

I'm getting around to read more of these blogs. I wish to know my fellow soupers better. I would like to read more of your poems.

Paul, I see your poem was not posted too closely along with your other poems. That means there is only one big reason you did not get many comments. Probably you did not comment much to other poets . If you spend half an afternoon and comment to as many poets as possible on the list, BELIEVE ME, you will get nearly half those poets posting back to YOU. I am so busy these days, I only have time to read mostly poets that I already know. If others are in my shoes, it stands to reason they will never get to know an awesome writer like yourself. You must build a "base" of friends and comment to them often. Trust me, it's the only way. And when they see how great a poet you truly are, you can enter some contests and get even more comments when you win a contest. Best of luck. LUv, Andrea

OH I wouldn't say that my verse which placed #1 in the Soup Site contest was not placed at all in other member judged contests. Now, you've perked my interest going to read them! Light & Love

The timing of the submissions is a factor in comments as it does not take long to slip down the list to the bottom of 200 poems, especially when new poets come on entering every poem they ever wrote at one time. So that brings up my next point, don't enter too many poems on the same day, space them out over days, you will get more comments..more exposure.. trust me, years on this site have shown me the way ~~~ I will check out your poems today~~

sometimes the time of day you post determines how many people read it, if I post at night chances are only a couple people read it, when I post in the morning , twice as many see it thoughout the day, your preferences come from inside as they should. NOw I will go check out San Luca and leave a comment either way ( e careful what you wish for hehehe)

Just continue to write Paul and enjoy your creations ... comments from poets are wonderful to receive on your work ... each poet prefers a different type of poem to read .... but all enjoy most every poem posted... welcome to PM too... as I have stated on one of your poems today luv..
