I am so excited. Just today, I accepted a position with Triad Publishing Group (www.triadpublishinggroup.com) as Director of Poetry Development. This is just such an amazing opportunity and I just had to share this incredible news with all of you.
As many of you know, I have been a member of Poetrysoup for about 3 years now. Prior to joining this site, I was a member of other scam sites on the internet (like most of us were at one time or another). It is because of this site and all of the inspirational, supportive and nurturing poets on this site that I decided that October in 2006 to venture out and publish a book. In March, 2007 my first book was published. Beauty Forever Reigns. Since the publishing of that book, I began the Chronicles of a Sage series and to date, have published two books from that series: Spiritual Revelations via Canto and Simple Complexities. I am currently working on the third book for that series, Impulse. Since the publishing of Beauty Forever Reigns, I have been on one heck of a spiritually rewarding journey as an author.
I do apologize to everyone for not being as active on this site as I have been in the past with my reviews and comments, but I do want you all to know that I do read your poetry and let me just say this. The artistic growth of expression by the poets here has grown into such magnificence. As a member of this site through the years, I have read and watched amateurs turn into absolute greats! I am still having such trouble with the judging of the "Introspection" contest, as all of the poems are just so profoundly written with not only words that grip your heart, but with gorgeous expression and beautifully poised flow. I am honored to be able to sponsor these contests here at Poetrysoup and it gives me such joy to be able to contribute to the continued recognition of excellence.
There is no poetic community like the one here at Poetrysoup, and it is definitely well-attributed to not only the wonderful job of the site's owners, but also to the beautiful hearts of all our members. Thank you for giving me the foundation.
I would like to remind all of you to never, ever abandon your dreams. Just to give you a little background, I am a paralegal full-time, a "mother and father" to my 12 year old son, as well as an author. Dream big - dreams do come true.
Wishing everyone an absolutely gorgeous today and an extraordinary tomorrow!
