My dear fellow Poets!
It's been ages since I've posted a blog here on PS. Since 2016...actually.
Don't know who I am?
Well...I've been a long time Poet here on PS since 2010 & have made a wonderful amount of connections (a few I can even call a friend, still today) throughout my time here. In that time, I was running an Internet Radio Show called Stand As 1 which highlighted many PS poets here...some of which never read their work outloud or to others. So many beautiful memories were made!
Sadly, life & a few people in my life tried their hardest to stop me from continuing forward between the years of 2016-2020. But now I'm regaining structure & control. And it's time to continue forward...further.
Where to start on this new path?
A new Poet name: Tacito (which means "Unspoken" in Spanish)
A new show name called: Above the Flaw
Above the Flaw is a show focused on Mental Health & Empowerment in the Arts (Film, Music, Game Design & Development, Writing/Poetry & more). There have been an increasing amount of stories highlighting Abuse, Stalking, Harassment & more from those who chose this career path as a way (sometimes the only way) to put value in their expression. Now those dreams are getting derailed because of these continued issues & little is being done to address them wholly & genuinely.
As a Survivor of both Abuse, Stalking & Harassment myself, it was time to reignite what I began with Stand As 1 several years ago: Telling our stories & putting value in them through our voices through Poetry, Song, Prose & more!
So, if I like your work here on PS & are a good egg, I may reach out to you to highlight you & your work! Please stay tuned.
Interested? Please check our my previous Above the Flaw episodes & upcoming live shows: https://abovetheflaw.podbean.com
I do a new episode every other Wednesday evening, 6-8pm PST / 9pm EST. My next episode is this Wednesday, October 6th, 2021.
If you miss the live portion of the show, you'll be able to download it later that night.
Thanks for your time, everyone. Keep writing!
Cheers,
-Tacito (previously known as Drake Eszes)
