Harry Horsman Biography

Born in Skipton raised in the village of addingham in wharfedale, moved to New Zealand for 36 years, now a resident of Perth Western Australia, i have 2 sons 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren..Sons were born in the uk, 2 grandchildren in New Zealand, 1 grandchild and 4 great grandchildren are true blue aussies.

Having spent a little time on new poems being posted here on soup, recently i noticed the same name, posting prolifically, so i did a little check, and this poet as posted nearly 5000 poems in 17 months, i wonder if anyone can beat that.

One last thing. I have been trying to post only new poems of mine and that's why I find the contests so challenging. I have probably a thousand poems that are not even here at Soup, but I just don't see the need to post several a day. Personally, I would like to see Soup make a limit on it. I noticed one time when I posted three in one day, the first one hardly ever got read because everyone focused on the last one I had posted. Why post if one is not going to be read? Just my philosophy!

Harry, the solution for everyone is very easy. Simply DO NOT READ "NEw Poems -All" I NEVER go to that list. There are too many piggy poets there. I always see "NEW POEMS-BY POETS" it allows us to see only one poet on the list at a time. In other words, if I post ten poems (not that I ever would) only one of them will appear on that list. This is the only worthwhile list to visit here at Soup. Forget the other one, guys. I figured this out after my first month here at Soup. As for this poet, I don't know who it is. I can't imagine the poems would be "polished" although he could be posting stuff he wrote since childhood.

Would it be realistic to ask admin. to limit postings per day? I think 2 or 3 per day would be fair to all. Just saying..

I made a comment to this one poet politely mentioning he was knocking other poems off the list before they could be read and that perhaps he might get more comments and more readers if he posted less poems...LOL...do you think he listened? I don't think he cares what anyone else thinks...:))

WOW! I don't leave my poems poster here for long. You actually counted the postings? I don't think I have even written that many poems and I hav ebeen writing for 40 years! Now, that is a lot of writes.

I have no objection to the amount posted by any poet but I do object to them banging about twenty out in one go as it pushes some really well written poems off the list before we get the chance to see them, Two poets the other week posted thirty six poems between them on one day and I never bothered to read one because of it , I wish they would be more considerate and space them more xx
