I am a middle-aged blue collar worker from Sarasota, Florida, U.S., where my family moved after the farm in Wisconsin fell to the 80's farming crisis. After trying many occupations, including law, human resources, food service, government, and risk management, I am now working at a thrift bookstore. I pay special attention to the poetry section, as it sometimes seems overlooked. This forum has been a nice distraction from the bleak news feeds, and also a source of encouragement.
