Distinguish them from Pseudo-Sciences
In Life Sciences, we study Human Biology
As well as Zoology & Botany
Through Earth Sciences, we learn earth's wonders
Its systems & forms on lands & waters
Physical Science is of course about Physics
But it also includes Chemistry & Thermodynamics
Technology amazes us with human inventions
From past to present from different nations!

geometry is a language I do not speak
words in zoology make my mind squeak
Latin and French to me are both Greek
Psychology made more sense to me
That’s what I settled on for my degree
Math is a horror from which I am now free
Seven grandchildren, each studying their own science courses
I understand some of them, but am fuzzy about the other sources
astrology is being studied by Ellen, yes astrology
I think of her when I look into the sky; it interests me
Geology makes sense for Brian, he has collected rocks since five
But cryptology for Landon does not make sense or jive
He was never one to keep a confidence or demand privacy of any kind.
Biology makes sense for Dorothy, she has a plant-producing mind.
Drake who adores animals is going into thematic zoology
An herbalist, Jackie is studying of course, herbology
What about psychology? I ask, this was my study of choice.
No, I’m going into glossology, said my sassy granddaughter, Joyce.
Pathology? Psychology? Technology? I ask them and they laugh.
So many ologies, and none of them are taking the exact same path.
Poly Math wanted to know how bumblebees can fly
they are so Rubenesque and yet, they buzz off daily
she researched it because it was so curious to her
there are many theories, but no definitive answers.
Why? Because we are not yet able to speak with bees.
What do we have to do to talk to bees?
Poly Math looked it up in twelve reference books
She also googled it, but alas, there was no reply.
Asking her echo was no help either.
“I do not understand the question,” the device said.
Whose voice is that? Poly Math wondered.
She was able to find this out, and felt satisfied.
For about six seconds. Then she heard a trill.
Was that a robin, cardinal, crow, wren or what?
She began listening to bird noises, so she might know.
Poly Math’s curiosity has always led the way.
Has brought her where she is today.
Degrees in anthropology, biology, zoology,
earth science, math, and psychology.
Chris and Martin brought us biology, zoology and ecology.
They introduced scientific learning to us in a friendly, exciting way.
We learned to observe, detect and investigate from them.

We raced to our TV sets to see the next episode.
Lions, crocodiles, falcons, elephants and rattlesnakes!

I still remember almost every bit about some episodes.

Zippy Zeus’s zesty zoology zings with zeal between you and me.
Notoriously eager to learn something unique, clever, exciting or new
Enthusiasm parades out of her in every direction, heading toward jazzy
We do not attempt to hold her back, for she cannot be tethered
Being perpetually refreshed and rejuvenated, she delights us
Everyone who knows her either loves her or despises her
Gemini of course, the mercurial sign, always striving toward technology
Interested in astrology, astronomy, biophysics, chemistry, zoology, physiology
Need I mention the variety of jobs she has held? Barkeep, dog trainer, lawyer
Never been a carnival barker, but I would not take it out of the running yet
Interested in people, plants, dogs, cats, lions, foods, jewelry, space aliens
No, I am not making her up. She exists and not only in an imaginary way.
Greatness parades out of her from time to time, and often.
She never limits herself to any old records. Never going around and around.

F- one of my favorites is 'fantasy'
G-I know we marvel at a 'galaxy'
H-Oh,, how we love 'horoscopes'
I- idea is of Greek origin, as well.
J- yes, even that word...jealous!
K- 'kilometer' to measure.
L- add that favorite word, 'logic.'
M- 'melody' significant in music we love
N- those 'neon' lights, so groovy,
O- 'Olympic' games we so love,
P- 'poem is a word ,gift,from the Greeks.

Opus# 4
Books ooze their goodness
Delighting me the way no TV show could
Enticing me, enrapturing me, loving me
Changing me into a pirate or a murder victim
Mysteries and biographies are my favorite,
Scientology intrigues me and fascinates me.
I do not mean THE scientology.
I mean geology, zoology, biology, and astrology.
I adore poems, short stories, plays, and songs.
Written word power takes up much of my day.
I fall asleep in my chair, lulled into dreamland
In the middle of books which drop on the floor.
Deeply aware that words will live on
Long after we are forgotten, I sit by the window
Expecting something fabulous to pique my interest.
I have never been disappointed.
See them bully boys in the schoolyard
playing penitentiary hard
Face-scraping the concrete ...
Neanderthal knuckle features marred
Look at the smart treehouse girls
(with Zoology swing low ease thus far)
put the dumb cave-butt chimps
behind the Donkey Kong monkey bars
Finding virgin puppy love is a tight collar affair;
young hearts hate to get cuffed,
bouncing ball feelings ... smitten hands in the air
A maybe love just ain’t enough
It’s an ear turf rough
Tarzan Cowboy Bebop lip game,
Pen pal kisses sho is a
jungle pride slide hip-hop shame
Arrested development warrants
such XY hormonal stall sandbox thrillers
Misty-eyed Janes getting spit shade
from juvenile gazes by man-child gorillas
Marry a lady should be
the diamond Stone soul picnic plan
Good fellas do sit happy,
until the recess bell taunting began
Phrenology and phenology fascinate me
Not sure why
But they both intrigue me
Helping my imagination
Conjure new possibilities
Delighting me and reminding me
of other “ologies”.
Geology, biology, zoology, psychology.
These “ologies” parade into my dendrite
field, introducing my brain
to active new possible ideas and we dance.
The “ologies” and I are using each other
and amusing each other.
Being a life-long learner is the only way
to stay alive on this plane if you ask me.
Discombobulated today, please accept my apology
Travel's a big factor causing these abnormalities
At my advanced age
Routine is the rage
Can't easily handle change, it's based on zoology
