In Mommy's arms though you are not

It's the deafening sound of silence
Tickling the ghost of her past
She hears a sea laughters
Wave after waver, laughter after laughter
She hears a council of drums;
Drumsticks, the skeletons of her closet
She hears the phantom crunch of footsteps
Foot after foot, moon walks on the gaunt floor of her psyche
Dance after dance, dust after dust
Banshees hum lullabies; weredogs sway her cradle
Her neck is failing, the weight on her head is pressing
Reins are taut and insanity rides the chariots of sanity
A salvo of dragonballs roast her neurons; her mind is an apocalypse
She grabs her head in disguise and wails off her trance.
Her howl strikes a match, scare away the ghost.
She looks around, hoping no eye bears witness

E mbarrassed
A fflicted
T ormented
H arassed
Her silence, her death, her noise, her breath
Her grace, emotive;
That's why she's talkative
That's why she's hyperactive
She laughs to dead jokes and her lungs slave in their cage of ribs
Harass not but embrace her.
Zoé is our precious little pussy cat
Couldn't find where this sweetie was at
Till we heard a tiny cry
She was always quite shy
Finally found her stuck under my top hat

She had to try and replace you,
Not caring how we felt.

At all the notions
Of never seeing you again.

How I long to see your face,
Stealing my food
Or staring in my eyes.
I always told you
How to be a good girl
And avoid trouble by
Not jumping the fence.

And that I promised
To take care of you always.
I hope you will remember
How we were like sisters,
Different mothers, different breeds,
But always as one heart.
Well fancy that
Zoe our cat
Has me wrapped around her wee paws
She thinks she's so smart
This furry young tart
But her assumption has a few flaws
Well first of all
Zoe's very small
But possesses a gargantuan attitude
I'm a superior being
I can even go skiing
But she sure doesn't know about gratitude
If it wasn't for us
Society's upper crust
She'd have to go find food in the wild
Some of that stuff
Can literally disgust
Imagine rodents as a delicacy, how vile
It would do Zoe well
It's not difficult to tell
Who's ensconced at the top of the food chain
It's us civilized folks
That sounds like a joke
Perhaps calling us civilized I'll refrain

Usually prefer pussycats to dogs
Though we have a Golden named Annie
Guess it might be a real tossup though
Annie's pretty special and uncanny
This gal can smell barbecued chicken
From at least a couple of rooms away
Comes bounding into the kitchen
Ready for whatever comes her way
How can I resist this gorgeous animal
Got me tied around her paw
Zoe the cat is a real sweetheart too
I'm torn between these two pets-in-law
Guess I'll just spread my love between both
Annie can show fits of jealousy
Chasing Zoe and threatening her life
But really they get along quite famously

She was there, but just passing by,
never mind what it is said,
nor what it seems,
if she we're a gypsy but she's not.
Maybe a woman of mysteries and stunning
qualities that delight the eye, but
yet a dwelling tree wont even blink,
nor drop a leaf for her.
She's beautiful as a flying
myth of some fairytale princes with no prince to chose.
Beautiful and charming, but a bleak vissage look that
question her truth.
She's a walking venture to men kind,
but again she's a lament soul,
a lonely heart with meekness eyes,
with a glamorous voice,
and enchanted moves.
Her hair so black that blinds the eye,
she was there passing you by,
you were there blinded by her charms,
her name was Zoe; a beautiful life.
