In This Case the Amount of Zeros Dont Amount

In this particular scenario or case

The actual amount of Zeroes

You place or add on the end

Does not represent it's actual

Real value or true worth

Because the difference being is this

Although I may have only been able

To contribute $ 1 Dollar

It's a $ 1 Dollar I can barely afford

And may equate and come at the cost

Of me stealing a meal out my child's mouth

Far more than I can afford to give

Whereas your large contribution

Of $ 10 k plus Dollar's

To you isn't even pocket change

Whereas you on the other hand

Tomorrow will be front page news

Having your picture taken

Handing over that Cheque

I read over someone else's shoulder

Because I can't afford to buy the newspaper

Unless I can no longer afford

Actual Toilet paper itself

Binary

A world once served by gods and heroes
Now gets by with ones and zeros.

Premium MemberZeros-This Couple of Adulterers No Heroes

He was a hero (not)
Infinite frigid cool-frozen cold subzero
A circle infinite ero

Resting on a pillow
Nestled in asleep in the willow
Mouth wide open, open curtains
Has a guest, not his wife and let
He rose,
She rose

Not a Godly man
Steppin out, and (just got caught)
Now label both them just wearin a sheet
Standin on their feet
in vitro-vitro

Not a good righteous couple neither one of them
Mine hero they’re just zeros
This couple of adulterers no heroes

Artificial intelligence churns out gigabytes
 As algorithms set the rules
 Sifting the wrongs from rights
 With all its CPU tools

Machines learning at the speed of light
 Spitting out bits in flight
Speeding past us in no time
Turning the tables at the drop of a dime

The electrons have been set loose
With ones and zeros as their base
It's too late to stop them now
As they swiftly move in cyber space

Premium MemberHeroes and Zeros

Among mankind's best—
Brave, courageous
Heroes who do no harm
Assuaging our fear
With fellow feeling and care
Amidst viral strains' stealthy swarm

Among mankind's worst—
Mean, dastardly
Zeros who do know harm
Stoking pandemic fear
Scamming an unsuspecting ear
With a smiling swindler's charm

Heroes and Zeros
Best and worst of mankind—
What a dichotomy!
We'll keep hoping instead
For a bright future ahead
Daily coping with anxiety

Zeros and Ones

Zeros And Ones

Written By. D. Collins 2/25/16

If we read the language of zeros and ones.
We could plot distance far, beyond the sun.
Each binary digit, which only means two.
Is what the Mayans and Aztecs already knew.

An infinite amount of stuff can be represented.
Each cell of matter is tied all up in it.
It’s the one and two. The Alpha and Omega.
The stuff that’ll make true drama hate ‘ya.

Using zeros and ones explains all religions.
God came from the sky “smiting” with precision.
He probably uses the theory of zeros and ones.
Far more advanced than our standard handguns.

So, when the **** hits the fan, where’ll you be?
Knowing the language, or hiding under a tree?
Zeros and ones is how we’ll communicate.
The universal language known throughout space.

Chasing Zeros

Who am I really
A complicated soul
Sinking in the mire and madness
The unrelenting sadness
No escape, no silver lining
No saviour coming
With armor shining
The spinning cog in the attic
Screeches to a halt
Burning up precious memories
Once saved in the vault
My dead eyes stare for hours
At the dead wilting flowers
Saved for the lover who never arrived
And here I am alone
Just a complicated soul
So deep in this hole
I scream at my mirror to make my image
Run away
But it just snickers at me
Says it's here to stay
Mockingly raises his glass
Here's to the hollow man
To the hero chasing zeros.
