Zapped our eyes
ears centers
not on a beam
unless
on a ledge
teeter-totter
in space
our eyes want more
or less
either way
satisfies
the milquetoast
our ears crave hypersonic
or a hum
matters not
his horns levitate
left and right
halos
hooked over them
self-righteousness he craves
when Christianity
behaves
dead are men’s spirits
around them
a buzZ

Now, boys and girls, please stop fingerpainting
Put away your paints, and wash your hands with soap
Did you sing 'Happy Birthday to You' twice, Tommy?
Remember to log out of Instagram and Tik-Tok, boys and girls
And put all the smartphones back in the large container
Very good, boys and girls. Now, please sit down in front of me
Are your masks securely on both your mouth AND your nose?
Wonderful! Now, it's time for me to read you a story, uh... Children
Gather round to hear 'Transgender Terry's Toys.' Shhh! I can't hear a ping...
OK! Listen attentively, zas and zees, and you'll get milk and cookies
~ instead of sparkling mineral juice and healthy carrot sticks

soon comes coffee’s steep
morning melody - no cheep
all robins asleep
3:30 - much too early, when i arose, to aeropress the grounds
soon the blessed send
of true wakefulness and blend
if my knees will bend
i will make my way out of torpor unless my eyelids beat me down
catch a dreamy cab
beg a few more zees ~ their fab
go for pillow grab
back under the covers for i’m yawning; not ready for the cockcrow

At my home, I shall grow two fragrant eucalyptus trees.
To entice and taunt koala bear company if you please.
A large knothole in the bark can house merry honey bees.
I can almost hear the queen of the hive snoring with zees.
I will plant these beauties along my carrots and my peas.
I’ll not use straw to hold the seeds. Straw makes me sneeze.
I will not use hay, because that stuff makes me wheeze.
I will guard the eucalyptus seeds away from each breeze.
Hoping that koala bears do not carry mites, lice or fleas.
But do not make fun of me or my trees. Don’t tease.
Because I will sick on you my dog, Old Louise.
And this loyal mutt will chase you off with lithe and ease.

There’s a Zose in my nose
And it smells like blue cheese
I try to doze but the Zose
Just won’t let me be
It never goes when I blows
Though it makes me wheeze
I must dispose of that Zose
So I can catch some zees
But it knows what’s proposed
Leaving me ill at ease
Still I throws my elbows
Right into its knees
Then wrap bows on its toes
And give them a squeeze
But it shows that it knows
My lack of esprit
Coz it grows where phlegm flows
Making me sneeze
So I pinch close my nose
Plus whisper pretty please
Until it chose to fling woes
On my sister Louise
