Couldn't have dreamt this,
His tender first kiss,
Nibbled his lips,
Kissed my fingertips,
Kissed molasses hair,
Love his kissing flair,
Kissed a thousand times,
His mouth just rhymes,
Our attraction,
Love in action,
Lip sync bliss,
Love his kiss,
Kissing sublime,
Withstood all time.......

IN THE EVERGREEN OF HOPE
In the forest of despair,
The evergreen of hope,
Firmly rooted,
Stands in the mist
Of the saws
Of injustice:
Her tired body
Having withstood
The fires of debilitation
And devastating mudslides
Of eroding equity and justice:-
Like her ancestors,
Seek, knock, and ask,
The evergreen of hope
Cannot, and will not,
Be rotted away
By political fungi
Of deceit,
Nor racist bacteria
Of eroding unjust laws:-
Though in its shaded rest,
Hopelessness
May linger for a while,
The evergreen of hope,
Continues to raise her eyes
To the nourishing sunshine
Of reality,
As she sows
Her fertile seeds
In waiting bowed heads,
Impregnating
Their mental soils
With divine
Liberating wisdom
And its supreme guidance:-

a tale of trees
trees in the
forest of life
are populated
with leaves
Of secret lovers
and others
who have
tarried beneath
their shade
and their branches
have held hopes
Swinging high
and low
and their
trunks
have known
hugs
of screaming
joy
and weeping
sadness
whether clothed
in rainbow leaves
or naked
as guest skeletons
many have withstood
the aging
of vicissitudes
and clemencies
of weathering times
while other aged ones
uprooted
and parallel
to mother earth
likewise share
with her
barked secrets
only known
to them
and yahweh:-

In Springfield’s hall, a young man stood,
And spoke of threats that none withstood—
Not foreign armies, but seeds within,
A nation’s ruin born of sin.
Today, his warning feels alive,
As fear and doubt among us thrive.
The law bends under weight and strain,
And justice falters, flawed, profane.
Pardons shield the loyal few,
While freedoms erode as tempests brew.
Policies divide, compassion fades,
And fragile trust in darkness wades.
Lincoln’s voice still calls us back,
To mend the breach, to seal the cracks.
A nation’s strength lies not in might,
But in will to guard the people’s rights.

I will remember you as the tender soul
Who carried me through my hardest battles
With myself, against my shattered ideals,
And lifted me higher to view this cruel world
Through another, brighter lens.
I will remember you as the tortured one
Who marched through life's darkest tunnels
Within yourself, amidst your suffering,
And upon reaching the light-filled verge,
You remained unchanged by pain.
I will remember you as the resilient one
Who withstood every looming challenge
That greeted us during our darkest hours,
And fought with every fiber of your being
To preserve our hidden love affair.
I will remember you as you remember me,
Along with these precious fragments of memory
Of you, and all that makes you perfectly you,
And I will forever remember you as the only soul
Who loved me completely, unconditionally.

Jesus is everyone who hangs on a tree
Jesus is everyone who sets us free

Jesus our everyone rightly to be praised
Jesus our everyone with Him we are raised
Jesus is everyone the last Adam did prevail
Jesus is the everyone led captivity out of jail
Jesus our everyone foiled all assailed
Jesus our everyone withstood as the devil railed
Jesus is everyone Who counted it all joy, not loss
Jesus is everyone Who’s passion led to the cross
Jesus our everyone paid the price, counted the cost
Jesus our everyone came to redeem the lost
Jesus is everyone The Great I AM
Jesus is everyone The Sacrificial Lamb
Jesus our everyone in the thicket the Ram
Jesus our everyone He is both God and Man
Jesus is everyone Who intercedes for men
Jesus is everyone and Amen and Amen to The Amen

A believer in the God of Israel,
Forever was she, a being put on trial!
Her land withstood all bloody denial.
Israelis of all ages being killed, made her riled!
Two men in keffiyehs, chased her down the street,
While praying to HaShem, to have her feet, be fleet.
The silvered, shiny mist, on her eyelids now rest.
Arriving home, a soft pounding within her breast.

One of those castoff items that we shove
Promptly deemed ‘junk’ upon a second glance.
I hid you on the highest shelves above
With a slim ‘someday’ of a second chance.
In solitude you stoically withstood
The cruel confinement you were sentenced to.
With dogged demeanour of solid wood
You kept your composure as if you knew.
Oft butting heads over your checked acts,
My late dad and his dad battled so well.
Though I delved not in your strategic tracts,
My grandsons set you free from jail cell spell.
That chessboard - centrepiece I now hold dear,
Your pieces shine, each one is carved with love.
When boys butt heads I smile in silent cheer,
Imagine dads are smiling from above.
Artifacts may lose temporary trend,
Then triumph tenfold in the timely end.

An old stone cottage stands on the seafront
Abandoned and alone
Windows covered in sea salt and cobwebs
Its history and story unknown
A small white cottage with good bones
That has weathered many a storm
Now unloved and neglected
Still stands steadfast ,proud, yet sadly forlorn
A large stone fireplace graces the front room
Blackened by the years that have withstood the test of time
Giving warmth and comfort to many a soul
Comfort so sublime
I wonder who resided here
Was it a happy home
Was it alive , full of love and laughter
Or harbouring sadness and secrets unknown
I would love to sit inside this cottage
Light the fire and share a cup of tea
So the cottage could tell me its story
Of life as it used to be
A story perhaps of long lost secrets
One of intrigue and mystery
Or maybe just a simple tale
Of a loving family
In appreciation and gratitude for story told
A cuddle it would be
I would visit time and again for the warmth of its fire
And to share another cup of tea!

The "Trilogy of Non-Violence" advocates peacefully uplift humanity
Humanity is to behold a peaceful way of overcoming the struggle of life.
Life, where all souls are valuable and with love are diminishing hate
Hate! Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. states, "Driven out by the light."
Light of the world for humanity to see shining bright, eliminating darkness
Darkness, which Attorney Nelson Mandela survived in gloomy dungeons.
Dungeon of despair, trying to rent his humility, spirit, and soul without relent
Relent, he withstood, overcame with God's grace, seeking peace, not revenge!
Revenge develops turmoil in humanity's mind and soul—"So agonizing!"
Agonizing the spirit to do ill will toward others without peace—Violence!
Violence Attorney Mahama Gandhi pronounced is inferior to non-violence
Non-violence is strength emanating from an indomitable will of humanity.
Humanity diligently erased images of the beast, displaying its ugly appearance,
Rev. Dr. King, Jr. Attorneys Mandela and Gandhi defeating such ugliness!

Oh what a joyous occasion
Attended by family and friends
In this tropical location
Fraught with eighty mile an hour winds
Pink champagne from Napa Valley
Fresh flowers and king size bedding
Love blooms in Hurricane Alley
Just another monsoon wedding
Around these parts it's nothing new
With tidal waves high as a tree
As the bride and groom said I do
The bridesmaids were washed out to sea
Bravely the two withstood the fray
While everyone else ran for their life
They could barely hear the preacher say
I now pronounce you husband and wife

The other day when you left you did so for good
You had left before but you always came back you always knew you could
Everytime you left it broke a piece of me away still stronger I stood
I waited patiently for you to see the light think about what you did I knew that you would
I'd be standing sometimes kneeling faithful in the belief our bond had withstood
When you left this last time you took with you my pieces leaving me here alone the way no one should
Again I sit waiting only now it is dark you saw the light I'm still here alone and misunderstood
No longer standing no longer strong in a river of my tears aimless lost and weathered worthless driftwood
Youre not coming back your time has ceased take my pieces with you I'll keep our memories I need to stop trying get used to the dark belief in the fact none of this was meant to be understood

Oh, how cruel time can be!
Shattering hopes and killing beauty.
Slowly it steals moments, leaving everything bare
Time, a relentless force, beyond compare.
Here lies a victim of time's cruelty, the ruins of the cotton tree
Once a symbol of resilience, a beacon of the free
Now a reminder of nature’s vulnerability.
It withstood tsunamis over the years
Yet a mere breeze brought it to tears.
Time robs us of the things we love,
Leaving empty spaces in the skies above.
Its callous hands never rest
Leaving scars upon each beating chest.
The beauty of Freetown, green all year round
Gasping for breath as its life was unbound.
Freetowneans gather to the weeping sound
As on May 24th, the mighty tree was felled to the ground.
We'll seize the moments, stand with pride
For in the end, when all is said and done
Time's cruelty fades, and life's victories are won.
A new tree is just being born...

The Qin Shi Huang Empire built the marvelous China Wall.
The Flavian kings built the elegant Colosseum.
Just as the earth, an edifice needs to be safe for all.
Anyone who enters therein should feel inner freedom.
Though not thick, shouldn't the walls, like one's willpower, be strong?
Like virtues and values, shouldn't pillars and beams withstand?
Like healthy flesh and blood, shouldn't matters in it last long?
As a creation of art, shouldn't a house be well-planned?
This is a thrilling tale that Jesus, the tale-teller, tells.
Two builders, as though Apollodorus, constructed structures
One built on firm bedrock. It withstood all the weather's spells.
Another built it on sand. Soon, the storms led to ruptures.
Hear my words. Jesus says, my words should make their home in you.
Each house builder, with virtues, should build your inner shrines too

Does, like birds and beasts, gratifying daily needs suffice?
What's more? What should I aim at? Like a sage, where should I go?
The things and beings I see here are, no doubt, nice and wise.
Has a breeze or storm yet a single direction to blow?
Gaining true liberation and eternal salvation
Moving from all that is the world's ignorance to wisdom
Deserts of desires and delusions with dedication
Should be audaciously opposed, withstood, and overcome.
To that heaven of freedom and happiness, I should go
Should encounter the almighty, the angels, and the saints
Should I stay there forever or come back? I do not know.
Won't, yet, one be away from temporal mundane constraints?
As glories of the sun and moon, enlightenment I'll gain
To this end, I'll face any physical or psychic pain.
