         Pony-up, you owe the money
           Your protests, not even funny

When you win, we pay up fast
           The about-face ~ What a contrast

An election
Asks for winners by voting
What it really means
A one-man-winning-affair
Or a win-win-situation
Or a triplets-success
Or a quadruplets-success
Or a quintuplets-success
I wonder
Where's the truth
Where's the justice
How's the majority
What're the people's wishes
What's the country's needs
If it covers all these expectations
It will be a real success

Premium Member Win Or Lose, We Can Choose

I am done, finished, I am going now,
It is getting a bit sore, hurting now!
I come here poets, simply to make more friends,
write Poetry, with life to make amends!

Poetry is expression of my thoughts,
come in abundance, somedays do not,
I wish to share them with you in this place,
please do not make this some kind of rat race!

So do you win more often than I do?
Poet of the day, contests , what have you!
If it pleases so much, you can have mine!
I shall continue to write, just be fine!

Each poem comes with its own fingerprint,
same thoughts but said from different precincts,
In them see a reflection of my mind,
when they write better, I shall stay behind!

so when you win next, give yourself a pat,
I shall stay behind and raise you my hat,
True happiness lies not in being best,
but having the heart to applaud the rest!

I shall love you and leave you with a bow,
For token prizes let’s not have a row!!

Win Or Lose

win and
lose in a
contest
differ like
active

and passive
voice: I
wrote a verse;
a verse

is written
by me.
Anyway

a verse
came into

existance.

Win Or Lose

I lose when I don’t play and I win out, when against all odds I play.

WIN OR LOSE

Win Or Lose

In our complicated lives,
some will win and all will die.
Joy and pain, our common threads,
laughter comes and tears we cry.

At these crossroads, I have endured
sorrow and pain through darkest days.
Shadows smothered sleepless nights.
My sunny skies turned shades of gray.

I could suffer in self-pity,
not forgive and hide my smile.
I could act out the loser's role
and let the darkness stay awhile.

I choose to win and overcome,
yet clouds sometimes blow in again.
I just can't win, my heart cries out.
Then my soul cries, yes you can.

Win Or Lose

You win
I give in
Just friends
I will take
My heartache
And try to begin
To live again

I lose
You choose
To live alone
So I am gone
You don't want me
Or what we could be
This I clearly see

I win
I'll love again
My heart to give
To love and live
A new day
You'll pay
With loneliness
Missing my kiss

You lose
Remember whose
Heart was true
To only you
You threw away
The love I gave
Think of me
Mr. Lonely
