BLINK
Green Light --
Farewells strung

Dawn whisks in a flash
Lost among zooms of speed
Exiting from my blank life

“ Memories throb in empty beats.”

Premium MemberDancing Between Skies

I like the sky, it's always promising something.
It's a soothsayer for eyes scanning up,
for signs, traces and lines of reassurance.
It carries fragments of yesterday,
It continues its theme, but twists on cue
to change its scene
in hue of clouds churning
in stir of witches brew.

I look at the sky to fly,
above the quagmire and
monotony of my daily plot, grounded.
Up there I see the script in clouds,
drifting like vanes to wind's direction.
Recalling how to dream on cue,
to believe again in happenstance,
carving the way forward,
with a longing for change, unexpected.

The sky writes in gold, then smears it gray.
It promises calm, then whisks it away.
It quells its brush to hush before thunder resounds.
It gives no answer when we beg for rain.
Won't stop before we go insane!
I look sky high for change,
in hope for delivery.

Premium MemberNacpan Beach

On Nacpan Beach my dreams take flight
No past to haunt and no wrongs to right

Turquoise waves hum songs of endless peace
My soul drifts and all memories cease

While on holiday the skies are wide
Worries fade with the changing tide

Grains of cream-colored sand under salty air
Accommodate each blissful step without a care

Endless rows of coconut trees oversee granularity
The scent of the ocean brings unburdened clarity

As the sun dips low a variety of colors ignite
Over a golden canvas of tranquil delight

Lazily napping on a hammock between palm trees
Sleepiness whisks me away under the whispering breeze

Premium MemberControl Freak Whisks Pollyanna Away

He hid his Draconian side from her
She was a Pollyanna, her heart pure
Her family disliked him immediately
His serpent-like qualities most of them could see

He whisked her away, out of town and state.
Chastised and chided her if she was missing or late
She had to give away her family and friends.
No one ever knew when or where her journey ends.

wind whisks smoky veils
sun’s dust on spidery silk~
gossamer dreamscape

Premium Memberarrogant tuxedo cat

tuxedo cat’s eyes rose up like a pregnant woman
I had caught him with the expensive vodka
the one we only bring out in December
Is that my cigarette? I give him a stare down
He puts his tail up and arrogantly whisks away
knowing who is in charge here

Premium MemberAs The Seasons Pass 2

Looking back to what has come and passed
taking what was to forge this moment, You Are The Sun Alas
and Blazing Beyond the perils of time
to Rise like the Phoenix from Ashes to Light,
and as the Ticking Talks and the sway drifts like the Wild Pendulum
and the memories shimmer and have come and gone,
and all that remains Whisks with the Winds Of Life
and you count your Blessings and Shine Bright,
and just as the Seasons that Come and Go
and just as every Rose has a Thorn,
we except what is and Bravely walk forth
and in this Instant, Let All Things Go
and as we look ahead, we're reminded of those who have left too soon
and live in such a way, through the Waning Moons
leaving our mark for Eternities Sake
so as the Seasons Pass, Remember to Seize The Day
for nothing is promised besides the Grave
so Live You Must, Before It's Too Late

Premium MemberLife Passes Like A Ghost Ship

Life Passes Like A Ghost Ship, Adrift, Amidst the Mists Of Time
and Whisks back into the Ether of Everlasting Light,
Slipping Through the Fray of Death and Dust
to bring back the Wisdom from Above,
though the ticking drifts and shifts the Hourglass
Nothing Is Lost, All Is Eternal in the Aftermath
Into the Mists of the Seas Of Life
where the Infinite intertwines with the Finite,
and brings back to Shore the Keys Of Mastery
 Conquering the Illusions of Duality,
and the Sacred Rises above The Beyond, As ONE
and sets upon The Graveyard Of Broken Ships, As The SUN

Passage Of Time

Passage of Time
Time, that unforgiving mistress, whisks us away like autumn leaves on a gusty day, scattering our lives like petals in the wind. She wraps her bony fingers around our hearts, squeezing tight until we gasp for breath, reminding us of our mortality, our fragility. Yet, within her embrace, we find a strange comfort, a sense of belonging to something greater than ourselves. We realize that our fleeting moments are part of a grand tapestry, woven from threads of time past, present, and future. Time is a thief, stealing away our youth, our vitality, our dreams. Yet, she also gives, bestowing wisdom, exsperience, and the gift of looking back on a life well-lived. As the clock ticks onward, marking each passing second, we hold onto what matters most- the love the laughter, the moments that brought joy to our hearts and filled our days with meaning..?

Seasons Of Life
Miracle Man
4/27/2024

Age has a way of collecting life’s dues,
Change is the payment we make to age.
No matter which phase of life we choose,
our payments get steeper at every stage.

Sometimes the payment will be in wealth,
the dues required for our space on earth.
Other times this payment can be in health,
Turning thoughts to outliving our worth.

When the day arrives we can no longer pay
We throw up our hands and God whisks us away

Premium MemberBallad Of The Wind

When The Wind Blows, There The Great Orchestra Of Life
The Silent Hymn Of The Sacred Skies,
And As It Whisks Into the Fray of Night
And Finds Its Way Back to The Light,
And Ignites Its Wings To Breach Destiny
 The Immortal Breath Of Infinity,
One With All, Forever, Though It Slips Away
 Sojourning Like A Buddhist Sage,
Alas, Returns And Finds "The Way"
The Ballad Of The Wind In Its Everlasting Faith

After My Dog

Deserved of a long repose, he sleeps at last
Whilst I, in sorrows wake, through shadows cast,
Recall, this gentle life, the joys, the pain
And go somewhere to be near him again
Along an earth worn, dappled path, that where,
A warm wind whisks his spirit through the air,
Beneath a cloudless, swirling, kite filled sky
Shades of dying Summer, light, the colour of his eyes.

Premium MemberNatures Walk

I walk through the forest by the lake
So many pictures I have to take
Freshly fallen leaves embrace the ground
Birds greet me with their welcoming sounds
Tree branches reach out L as if to shake my hand
A gesture I suspect asking me to respect their land
The morning sun extends its warmth to the ground
On the water below a speed boat whisks by with its booming sound
Excited fisherman rejoice with their morning catch
A couple tosses a stick into the water for their dog to fetch
Returning home I must thank nature for the memories it creates
At the end of my journey, a cup of coffee and a fireplace awaits
