Natures Walk

I walk through the forest by the lake So many pictures I have to take Freshly fallen leaves embrace the ground Birds greet me with their welcoming sounds Tree branches reach out L as if to shake my hand A gesture I suspect asking me to respect their land The morning sun extends its warmth to the ground On the water below a speed boat whisks by with its booming sound Excited fisherman rejoice with their morning catch A couple tosses a stick into the water for their dog to fetch Returning home I must thank nature for the memories it creates At the end of my journey a cup of coffee and a fireplace awaits
