That soft whir that hums away
Holds my heart with so much sway
It slips me to a bygone day
Now digital decay
Those nights when it could be heard
I never noticed when it whirred
But now i’d find my heart stirred
To remember how the white noise purred
At night, while my mind goes on
I realize that the noise is gone
When did it fade with the dawn
Will I follow it into the beyond?
Where is the sound of static?

He whirred around for quite some time
hounding his stubby runt tail
copious spittle, a flying trail
coating the walls with sticky slime;
before stopping, panting a spell
then restarting counterclockwise
as if it would less tantalize;
the tail continued to rebel.
The cat looked on in feline scorn
I, in turn, observed both dog and cat,
who was having fun; me, the cat,
or dog pursuing a chase forlorn?

upon his tower dark and tall
malakar stood to doom them all
with lightning flashing, cape unfurled
he cackled, "Now I rule the world!"
he pulled the lever, struck a pose
but fate, unkind, had other woes
for with a snap, the lever broke
and hit his minion (Grubnuk croaked)
his robots sparked, began to dance
one juggled fire—badly, perchance
another whirred, then high-fived air
while malakar just stood and stared
“uh… that’s not right,” he mumbled low
as sparks set fire to his own robe
he tripped, he tumbled, with a groan
and soon his tower stood alone
for down he fell, a mighty crash!
right in the king’s grand pumpkin patch
now in the dungeon, sipping tea
he plots his next catastrophe

Before the war
bluejays were just bluejays,
then the missiles arrived.
CNN displayed the mounting death count
until it too was obliterated.
Scorched bodies tumbled listlessly,
down deserted streets.
Some took to the sewage systems,
down there in the narrow dark,
rats were frolicking,
paws were pitter-pattering,
and they whirred and cackled
just like Bluejays.

Captain Picard enters his quarters
after a hard day on the bridge, the
Enterprise had left Klingon space
Tea, Earl Grey, hot
The replicator whirred inaudibly
Damn it!
Cup!
CUP!
Water, soapy, hot
The replicator responded again
Damn it!
Red alert!

Cold air breeze flowing over the shore, as an lifesaver floats on the glistening water illuminated by the sun, most memorable during the day as many above have fun
Frightened of the ferocious sea-beings, admiring the calm, but unaware that the center of attention could all be placed in your palm,
Lurking beneath the blue, a scaled blue tail unseeable from the surface,
Hides the dark hues that is seen in the trenches as worthless
What is hidden in one’s heart could never be imposed,
With false memory and prevalent words under the sea cannot be disposed
Rather it stays at its peace surrounded by creatures living within,
Living among its terrible ocean trenches submerged with a spin
Eyes deep as the sea darkened with ecstasy,
That it’ll propel your gaiety through lunacy in glee,
Whirred through unbreathable currents which you’ll myopically see
Such a creature below is redundant for two hands to be.

waking up in the wee hours of the night
magnetised form charged with divine light
third eye glistened, pulsated and whirred
root at base of spinal column concurred
liquified energy flowed in third eye and spine
in childlike trust our presence chose to align
energisation done we felt a tap on our head
grace descended of which naught can be said
a subtle yet firm energy descent in a swift sweep
from head to toe permeating each cell within deep
or simply stated, to be touched by God

Lying silent
In a wheezing chest of words
Divining whirred messagings
Of a moth’s wings blurred
Paralysed beneath the duvet
Hearing his antenna morse
Rapid flapping mind verse
The country radio
Tuning from Earl Scruggs to beetles
Munching oak flecks
Blind above my head flesh
Creaks like floorboards
Spine is peeled
Breathes the walls
Listens to
A record playing
Whose scratch revolves in ragged time.

What seems now old
Used to be utterly new
What was previously told
We cease to over chew
*****
All that is old hold a treasure
If only we all knew
Just weigh and measure
Under the veil a unique hue
*****
Out of memories we grow
Been taught lessons to the bone
We do reap all that we sow
And for wrongdoing we atone
*****
Pleasure and pain what we gain
In a life not taken for granted
Who can stop time or rinse rain
Or suppress anger that should be vented
*****
Life will continue to hurt and heal
Vomit its villains to mould the meek
Send its saints to instill ardency and zeal
Never always the ones at the wheel
*****
Deeply inside my prayers I recite
To always endurance and faith embrace
Be human of worth, decent and upright
And paths that stain never retrace
*****
A great depth of gratitude to God we owe
For both strength and forbearance
For age that vigorously flow
And for the gift of Love in abundance
*****
An abiding passion for her Majesty the word
Delving into my smile and feel would draw
The music of heart in verse softly whirred
My poetic human soul imbued with awe.

Knower of truth visited not the church,
for he was worn weary
of sermons leaving heart in lurch
by words dreary.
He was not an atheist since he knew
truth of soul’s existence,
feeling bliss beats within renew;
love’s insistence.
Rebel, a nerd, he followed not the herd,
aligning with God’s light
that glowed within as chakras whirred,
by day and night.

Can you imagine cream and sugar stirred
into snowy banks and winter flakes whirred.
Ice crystals forming into skating pond
for strawberries' axels and jumps beyond.
Chocolate trees stand, as limbs but a shell.
Gumdrops are children singing soft Noel.
Afternoon dish of strawberry ice cream:
tongue-lickin' good with room for tiny dream.

Dim its room; as if the light
Day's benign, too cruelly burned.
Drowsy kept; as if that heard
Polite whirred, painful turned.

On the fortnight of the waning of the gilded moon
that burst with waxing wings like leather it whirred and hissed
a spell on tongues of terror looming to take my breath
away. Shadows red horror passed.... I prayed!
Down on my knees in weakness and fear outstretched while
Fires swelled and bellowed out his snout to swallow
throwing flames. I lay in wait a frozen corpse I am
stirred to death, my bones too chill
So close this fire eating mass did swoop on me I cried
aloud inside so silently enamored by the dread so
hushed with no sound did he hear me in my clamor as
He melted my will and my armor
This cold, cold night bestows a windy chill for
It takes no fortune, no gold or silver to this mighty quest
Banished to the lair of nevermore, I give my life
Taken by the Dragon's Tooth

The barrel is oiled and it’s ready to go,
ammo’s in the magazine ready to flow
Universal cover mode, unsure who will show
Finger on the trigger now, I’m ready to blow
True to my sights so don’t show your face
I see you in the shadows now, full of disgrace
hiding in a basement cause you know I’m an ace
Running will not help you, I’m all over the place
Palms squeeze these custom grips, I see where you went
There’s nothing in between us now, it’s time to pay rent
I’m just getting started but I see that you’re spent
I don’t think you understood the warning I sent
No I don’t need real bullets I can pierce you with words
You’ll never measure up, no not even a third
As my lyrics slam through, just the impact is heard
With the same devastation had the bullets all whirred
You still want to talk like you know me at all
Then take a look around and get ready to fall
You’ll never see me coming like a one-sided brawl
I’ll never bend a knee, no I’ll keep walking tall
The barrel is all oiled and it’s ready to go,
ammo’s in the magazine ready to flow
Universal cover mode, unsure who will show
Finger on the trigger now, I’m ready to blow

A flying saucer landed
In a farmer's fallow field.
It had come from far away,
Beyond Orion's starry shield.
The aliens were mystified.
They giggled and they squealed.
The cows were in the pasture,
Chewing on their cud.
They watched the flying saucer
As it landed in the mud.
They bellowed as the hatchway
Descended with a thud.
The farmer drove his tractor
Beside tall stalks of corn.
A flock of crows erupted
When he tooted on his horn.
They flew inside the spaceship
On that cool September morn.
The aliens were studying
The farmer's dairy herd.
They saw their craft invaded
By the band of big black birds.
Legs retracted, hatchway shut!
The flying saucer whirred!
The moral of this story
Is very plain to see.
It will be written down somewhere
In Alien History.
ALWAYS SHUT THE CABIN DOOR,
AND DON'T FORGET THE KEY!
