Neighborhood Welcoming Committee

Brave
soldier’s
homecoming
Will the pup win
the battle for who captures the first hug?

Rockwell’s welcoming committee deserves
a purple heart.
Raising bonds
for war’s
end.

To find willing readers of our words,
Someone who might actually appreciate,
Was like being in a forest with no shade.

But now we can fill our pages
With poetry folks want to read
And can proudly feel we’ve made the grade.

Be Our Valentines, Dear Ladies,
Loved for your creation and hard work.

From ALL the happy poets the Welcoming Committee's made

Happy Valentines to the Welcoming Committee!

Premium Member Warm Welcome By the Soupers

Throughout the years, I write and write
Didn't give much care whether wrong or right
For in my heart, all I really want is to share and inspire
I want this, so I find a way then try and try

I went to different blogs and websites
Really wanting post my reflections and insights
Across all the choices, I found this soup not of goodies
But a soup of poets and poetess, young and not so oldies

Submitting a one, two and three prose
Excited to see persons whom I arose
Encouraging to see such heartfelt posts
Of praises and comments, so inviting for a toast

"Word flow is quite unique, intense emotions", by Drake Eszes
"come join in a contest", Says a poet Destroyer but a silent builder
Good lucks, says Skat A maybe an "A's" on her poems
Thank you, thank you very much for the warm welcome
Of hugs across the globe and praises, I receive each time

On this love month of February, even past Valentine
Let me dedicate this composition, I hope just in time
To all writers: verse, haiku, couplets and rhymes etc
Short either a paragraph or to long poems

A bouquet of red roses for you PD
In appreciation for all you do
And a box of chocolates too
Thank you for being a member of the welcoming committee

A bouquet of pink roses for you Anne Lise
For being the wonderful person that you are
Spreading your kind words of love and peace
As you welcome the new poetic stars

A bouquet of yellow roses for you Skat
For being so kind and sweet
As with encouraging words you greet
the new poets, I'm sure they appreciate that

To all three lovely ladies, so fine
Here's wishing you a Happy Valentine
Thank you for making the Soup a better place
With your warm welcoming embrace

My Gratitude

A simple thanks for the special day
From my heart which wants to say
You welcomed me into your crew
Much gratitude when i was new.

You gave me a place to ease the pain
On days when hurting and pouring rain.
Then times when i was happy in love
I could write and write and fly like a dove.

There is no judgement in this family
The only home where i roam free.
I spill my thoughts and free my mind
Much thanks my favorite Valentine's.

Special Valentine's Wish

Oh the day I came to soup
back in the fall my poem drop
Into the eyes for all look up.

My first poem was lost herd
and the destroyer was first to land
and comments of praise send.
Next one was Anne to land
who say welcome aboard
and how to makes others land.

Then my friend Skat took a gander
and her comments warmed like fur
as she made my head whirl.

Ohh how these three ladies
Changed so many lives
With words so sincere
As new poets start lines.

Welcoming Committee

Then He welcomed me
On to Las Heavens' which
    Is heaven from above
He accennted me with a
Understanding and conciliation
Which only could have
Been athwart his munitions'
Only moment's befor
Fore it was guarded buy
The Gate's of Heaven
From the clouds' to the floor
Then, It was shielded by such a thing'
A true feeling that which I have
Never felt befor
And then I knew that it must have
Been Jesus,
Fore it must have been love
Fore He was standing at
The Gate Of Salvation
Standing at the door
